Up Hill and Down Dale Yorkshire Weekender 7th & 8th July 2007 - Notes Added

Hat and I are planning to jointly run a Yorkshire Weekender during the weekend of Saturday 7th July and Sunday 8th July 2007.

There will be one run each day, one through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, and other across the spectacular North York Moors.

If you have radios please bring them along, as on both days there are areas where there is no mobile phone signal

There are not many petrol stations on either route so please fill up before each day's run. There is one in Paetely Bridge that we pass but it's about 4p a litre more than it is in Harrogate

Saturday Yorkshire Dales Run

The Saturday Yorkshire Dales Run will start in the large free public car park at Ripley near Harrogate. Meet from 9.30am, the run starts at 10am sharp.

The car park is just off the A61, here is the Multimap link (thanks Hat) -

http://www.multimap.com/maps/#t=l&map=54.03803,-1.56745|17|32&hloc=GB|n54.03873,%20w1.56732

The car park is the triangle shaped bit of land right in the middle

We are having a lunch stop around 1pm at the Tan Hill Inn. They are going to provide us with mixed plates of sandwiches and bowls of chips for £5 a person. If you do not wish to have lunch at Tan Hill please could you let me know, otherwise I'll assume everyone will be eating. We will collect the £5 per person at the start of the run then we've got a definate number for the pub to cater for.

We will hopefully be selling run stickers too which come with a special free gift

Notes for the run will be handed out (free of charge) on the morning

Sunday North York Moors Run

Run notes and map for Sunday's Run now attached below

I've just tried to open the files, but got an error message, however I was able to save them to my computer and then open them, so I hope this works for everyone

Thanks Hat for doing an excellent job with them by the way

The Sunday North York Moors Run will start at Morrisons Supermarket in Boroughbridge, the postcode is YO51 9HS. Meet from around 10.30am for an 11am start. We'll try to park right at the back of the car park.

Lunch on the Sunday is a picnic, which you could of course buy from Morrisons as we're meeting there

Please remember to bring money for run stickers if you'd like one and also 40p as we go over the Aldwark Toll Bridge
