do you mean the one in Modern MINI this month, or the actual charity run?

haha I guessed you wanted to, I saw your other thread about the Ring

I'm not sure which one you mean - I think the one in Modern MINI went to Turin, and The Italian Job that takes place every year does too. If you want to read up about this one, I did it last year and you can have a look at my site if you like its 118's Adventures (<------ just click on the link)

As Ian says there have been a couple of MINI runs that go to Italy this year, but there is only one official "Italian Job" run which is actually a registered charity. The "Italian Job" is an annual event held at the end of October with the aim of raising money for NCH. Some of us are registered to do it this year between Oct 23rd to Nov 3rd.

Full details can be found at Italian Job - childrens charity fundraising

Proper information on costs etc. is limited on the official site, but there is an itinery as part of the April newsletters in the download section. I've attached it below.

A few of the guys did the event last year and have Blogs about it. 118 has posted a link to his above. Chrisandjax have theirs here

Mini Adventure World

Chrisandjax also have a thread on M2 with more info about the "job" and the cost involved, here

http://www.mini2.com/forum/uk-irelan...ob-2007-a.html

This year is my maiden attempt but I know the guys had a fantastic time last year.

Perfect chance to clock up those miles

thanks guys for the information. its got me really up for this trip, infortunately though i think ill have to wait a while as the charity event says taht you must be 21 and im only 18 just now. so thats a bit of a bummer to be honest .

despite this, thanks for the links and stuff, its been great to see the pics and read about the experiences, great site

cheers

aaaah thats a shame - it really is an amazing experience. I wanted to do it again this year, but time and money wouldn't allow, but I'll be there with bells on next year! you could be a navigator next year instead as long as you don't mind someone else driving your MINI

not sure where you are, but if you're nearish to London, The Italian Job holds a night there, with a charity auction etc - it's this Thurs evening if you want to get a taste of the 'Jobber' life

of course you could always drive to Italy yourself without taking part in something like this

im arranging a sort of euro roadtrip with some of my friends.

with regards to letting someone else drive my mini, thats like letting someone else sleep with your wife . im not really too keen on that.

i think for my time i must abide myself with dreams of such a venture once i reach the ripe old age of 21,

A few of us here on MINI2 have already done an Italian Road trip this year, The Grand Dolomites Challenge.

You might want to have a look here to get an idea of some fantastic mountain passes to drive in Italy.
