Surrey Dyno Day & Run 24th November

24th November @ Chobham in Surrey

A few of you have mentioned about the possibility of having a run in the Surrey country side and also having the opportunity to get your car on the Dyno to see what you are really pushing out.

A couple of us on MINI2 have already used this facility - one S was at 244.5 BHP.

More details will follow but here are a few snipits

Special Price agreed of £35 inc VAT - normal charge for power runs is £50 inc VAT

Cost is payable on the day to Surrey Rolling Road - Cash, Cards etc are accepted

What you get is a full set of data on your car nicely presented colour graphs in a folder
Engine BHP
Wheel BHP
AFR - Air fuel ratio at all revs
Engine Torque - Foot Lbs
Wheel Torque - Foot Lbs
Boost Pressure - only if you have a boost measuring take off point

Once everyone is done we will end the day with another shortish run around some excellent roads ending up in the Farnborough area.

I'd like to take part in this please . I've never been on a rolling road before either, and don't have any engine mods, but would love to know what sort of power it produces. Be nice to know if it has the 170bhp BMW say it's supposed too have .

It'll be interesting for sure Andrew, mine is back to standard also (bar some performance ignition leads) so should be around 115 bhp!

Shame about the 2 car on site rule Not sure if they've managed to change it?

I'll be along for this Hopefully i should have a few more bits done to the car by then! I'm sure the other half would be up for running her Mini as well.

There is a nice pub not too far from there as well which takes in a couple of nice roads

I am with Charlie tomorrow and will check out the 2 car rule - I have been on the site before with more than 2 cars - when I did a Volvo day on the test track there were 30 plus cars inside the site on the car park by the bridge

Which Pub are you thinking of - I am considering the Rose and Olive Branch which has excellent food.

He did say that they were trying to get round the car situation. To be fair it was about 6 months ago since i was last there And come to think it was with a Fiesta club so that probably did us no favours.

Can't remember the name of the pub but its by a couple of petrol stations and near a funny roundabout! If that helps

I'm up for this too... will it be a Mini only day? I have a mate with a Celica GT4 that will want to come if they have a 4WD dyno set-up?

It is set up as a MINI only day at the moment

The Dyno is Dyno Dynamics and the spec is on the link in the first post - yes it is 4WD

If we do not have enough MINIS it may be extended to other makes - they will be last on the day.

Cars will be done in batches of 4 at the site - the rest stay in the car park approx 200 mts away. It is on MOD property so we have to comply with a few rules.
