Offline | North Wales - Banter / Discussion Thread As a North Walian MINI2er I see plenty of MINIs on the road around where I live.......some even wave too...... Over the past year or so, a group of MINI owners have started meeting up on a monthly basis, meeting at a local pub for lunch, followed by a run out in the countryside........ If you would like to join us, just post your details on the thread...... We also have our own website now...... http://www.northwalesmini2.com/ Anyone is welcome to join us.......just post on the thread to say HELLO! Cheers, Robert Last edited by minicabrio : Oct 2nd, 2007 at 08:06 AM. |

Offline | Well thank-you Dave...... Yep I'd like to re-run my NE Wales run again..........I know there are some fantastic roads around here, and further west too.........the road from Bala to Trawsfynydd takes some beating........and all it needs is half a dozen North Wales peeps to make it happen......I see loads of MINIs on the roads round here.......just a pity none of the owners appear to visit MINI2.com...... Update since Feb........ Busy doing some mods to my MCS.........fitted a pair of spotlights.......gonna get a set of silver bonnet stripes, and a two tone silver UJ for the roof.......hmmmm......the chrome line interior looks good too........Dave......any idea on pricing as a retrofit????? Gotta fit it all in now as the missus is expecting again.......fortunately we have a kiddie wagon too........so I don't have to sell my car...... Cheers for the nice comments.......... Robert |

Offline | Answering your questions in strict order........ 300 quid for what is an 80 quid option......OUCH........better forget that one then...... Beginning of December.......bit too close to my b'day on the 8th......... Yep, sure will do........... Well, I'd like to do another Blackpool run.......depends whether there's demand for it......after last years little escapade with the Sat nite traffic.......and the detour into Lytham..........will definately have a back up plan if I do decide to do one....so to speak. Cheers, Robert |

Offline | Just a thought. In Jan '03 I posted a thread asking if anyone in Dorset was interested in doing runs/having a meet/whatever. No. of replies? Zilch. Not even a murmur. Now - thanks to Max and the guys - there's more stuff than you can shake a stick at. So, Robert, keep at it mate. "I get by with a little help from my friends" |

I'm sure once the ball gets rolling it'll maintain some momentum.......it's getting it going that's the difficult part. Where in Dorset are you......my nan used to live in Swanage......... Not been there for at least 15 yrs..........must go again some time........aye them were the days........afternoons spent in the penny arcade! Robert |

| Take me to a corner.. | Hi Wobert, Count me in! And thanks for the PM - unfortunately I don't check the MINI2 forums all that often any more, so the PM worked great otherwise I'd have missed this thread. I check once in a while to see if there is any sign of an up and coming meet, so glad the ball has started rolling again. I'm from just outside Mold, drive a silver Cooper S (that's back in the dealer for yet more things to be fixed today!). I've not been on any Mini meet before, the first meet happened before I picked up the car. I'd really look forward to a meet, and like you say, there's so many more Mini's in North Wales - if only you can get hold of them... shame to waste the roads! Matt |

| Take me to a corner.. | I'm up round denbigh quite a lot, I love the A543. Have just been for a little drive around Ruthin and back - my Mini was in to have some things fixed today and also had V38 installed so wanted to test that, apparantely much smoother... Flashed/waved at 3 Mini's tonight and not one did anything back... |
