Hi all.

Anybody up for a full open pit lane day at the International Oulton Park circuit?

Wednesday 30th - It's £119 which is an excellent price (compared to £237 in summer

)
Saturday 19th - £149 open track with 20 mins tuition.

Let me know if you are up for it. There is no discount, but it would be nice to have a few fellow MINI enthusiasts on site.

Last time i was there it was a great day, superb atmosphere and a great selection of cars including Nobles, Scoobies, 911's, XKR's etc.

This will be the first time i have tried out my new additional components (brakes, injectors, clutch, wheels, suspension, quaife, removal of rear seats etc.)

Good Price but can't do a Wednesday;

who's organising it ?

Circuit Days have one which includes extra drivers / passengers & 20min ARDS tuition:

Sat 19 January Oulton Park 105dB £149
Weekend day on the excellent, picturesque 2.8 mile Full International Circuit, voted the 2nd best track in the UK via our online poll.

rivet588 - Nice to hear !! ....it may also be an option to go for the £149 option run by "circuit days" as this is on a saturday and also includes tuition for those requiring it.

d.Griff - You have to pay up before the event, booking typically closes at 5pm before the day. It is always advisable to book early anyway, especially with popularity growing.

J1JPE - My £119 option is run by motorsportvision (Oulton Park Race Circuit - The Official Oulton Park Motorsport Site) but i like the idea of the Circuit Days saturday option.

I'm happy to go on either (once i clear my business calledar for the 30th

), but would prefer the date most people can attend - as that is more fun !! and we can own the track then *smile*.

Saturday 19th PM is the only option for me but am going to be leaving it to the last minute as it depends on co-driver & other social / domestic commitments

Won't be tracking my car but being as I work round the cormer will pop along to have a look. Do these things normally have a set lunch hour? If so what time. Haven't taken any pictures in ages so this will be a good excuse.

Saw your message about track dy at Oulton Park. I went on one in Feb and thought it was great. Does anyone run a Mini only track day at Oulton Park?

as long as it's a realistic comparison ... it's no fun being hassled by Lotus 7 / Elise drivers or being afraid of the 17 yo in the £200 Fiesta XR2 slamming into you rear ... comparing MINIs is quite interesting too ... R56 vs R50 / 53 vs Classic ... Cooper vs Chipped ONE ... std S vs tuned S ... GTT S vs JCW etc ;}
