There's a track day at Castle Combe on the 19th May, run by an organisation called 'Track Masters'. It during the week, so you'll only get proper enthusiasts taking part - no boy racers to get in the way or cause trouble!!!
Cost is £165 per car for the day, 15 minute sessions with a maximum of 12 cars on the track at anyone time. You can also take advantage of free tuition if you so wish, like the advert says 'you can never stop learning'.
Sounds interesting, i'll not be driving on track, but this would be a good opportunity for me to put some miles on my new pistons - travelling from cheshire to dorset and back. It'll also be a good opportunity for me to take some good photos and videos of your cars in action :-)
Who's going?
Cheers,
K.
Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing...
Don't know yet. Depends if i have done sufficient mileage to bed in my new pistons. Don't want to startle the car so soon after a new head and new pistons. So, probably just there to watch. But the journey down will provide good mileagev
I also plan to video and picture the other MINI's - but as yet, only GRS seems to be making the effort.
Cheers,
K.

I went down to Castle Combe on Saturday. WAs reallly wet, but still good entertainment. The drifters were pretty cool. I think its convinced me I never want a Westfield or Caterham.
cool everyone still going to this. Is Bigshow and 1320 coming. I won;t be racing. but going to come up and get some pics. May have my new lens by then too so should get some good piccies. So who's actually going to this. We got a list
was yours the blue mcs parket under the trees at the back of the paddock?looked like gtt porsche brakes on the front?
I was there in my track car (blue escort with white compos) did 4 sessions before calling it a day as it was lethal on track, huge amounts of oil everywhere that the marshalls struggled to get on top off and some very poor driving,
talking to the marshalls first thing, we decided the first red flag would be caused by a french hot hatch with torsion bar rear suspension. Judging by the large numbers if dented saxos and 106's we were right
