United-Kingdom Fish and Chips at Scarboro' Anyone? - 17th February 2008

This Sunday (17th February) its my 25th Birthday - When the Mrs asked me what I wanted to do to mark the occasion I thought for a bit. Then this morning I thought of an idea. Fish and chips at scarboroughthen I though of another idea - get as many people as possible to come with us (ps. I'm not paying for the chips for everyone before somebody asks! ) - its kinda like a moving birthday bash, but really I'm using the birthday as an excuse to drive to scarborough for fish and chips
I know this is short notice but would love anyone to come who can make it
So this is the provisional plan. (Bear with me, I'm making this up as I go along at this point )
-Meet up at the OK Diner on the A19 southbound near elwick at 10(ish). Take a few some photos in front of the diner for retro values then leave at 10.20.
-Then work our way to scarborough on a route to be decided maybe using (chimney bank and goathland). Route is depending on who wants to come (i.e. meeting points worked into the route ).
-Feast on quality fish and chips at the Oasis cafe on Royal Albert Drive (The North Bay seafront for those sans sat-nav ).
-Drive up to olivers mount for a couple of lesuirely laps and some more photos.
-Drive back the same way we came waving bye to people as they peel off to go home

This is a sort of MINI/Mini event but I'm welcoming anyone to come along MINI, Mini or whatever your currently driving .

Please Note: This is not a rally, its not a race and this is not an obese hedgehog called Reginald...Seriously though families will be amongst the participants (well mine at least) so no crazy overtaking, no bunching, no tommi makinen impressions (flying finns) and so on and so forth. Basically if you wanna drive fast then this isn't the run for you. If you wanna go for a nice drive out, have a laugh and get some quality fish and chips then this is the run for you

Goings:
1. Vigilante (Steve, Gwyn and Morgan)
2. Wills87
3. Vigilante's ma and pa - either a yaris or a 220bhp is200
4. The family Hall - Almera

2. MiniCoopers53 - mcs jcw
3. Greendaychick - mini spi custom - nemc

Well happy Birthday For Sunday

Can't make it myself but I hope you have a great day. Could murder fish and chip in Scarborough.

Exactly what MINI2 is about this, good luck.

Cropton's always a good place to visit if you're round that way, The New Inn and Cropton Brewery especially

well mate i reckon we'll get to you bout 12.30. I'm thinkin castleton. Rosedale then up chimney bank back down again then fryup and over to goatland down the main road to pickering then straight along to scarboro. Grab some scran (bout 2) then up the mount for a bit play. Then home via helmsley or whitby whichever peeps prefer. Waddayafink?
