Irish Ferries swift service - Holyhead to Dublin - only takes 2 hours max crossing time is £190 return (fri-mon) - Dublin port is around 140kms from Portadown, so you'd be in your hotel, with a magners in hand by around 4pm on the Friday

It's a straight road up from Dublin, so you're looking at a couple of hours, slightly more if coming in to Dun Laoghaire as it's on the south side of Dublin, but it's an easy drive up

I need to get some number guys, having spoken to a few hotels again this morning it may prove a little difficult to get rooms if we leave it much longer, turns out there is a Magners sponsered Comedy event on in Derry that weekend and everywhere is nearing fully booked

Cheers guys. Yes the £190 is the cheapest I've found, just seems a tad pricey compared to the £35 I paid tio go to France, but there we go. Right off to sort out some of the other details

Excellent - coming together nicely then!

If Derry was full up would Letterkenny be a viable alternative for the evenings entertainment instead? Been years since I was out there though...

That's maybe not a bad suggestion Niall

If people could confirm whether they are staying Saturday night, I'll get a list up and running on the first page

From where I have based the start of Sundays run, Letterkenny is miles away would mean having to start putting together something in an area I havnt got a clue about so we would all end up lost

There is a great hotel in town nice secure underground parking but it's a little pricy at £97 B&B single, and £104B&B Double or £83 Single B&B if you pre pay & £89 Double B&B pre pay, unfortunatly with the pre pay you cannot get a refund if something comes up and you cant make it

Derry hotels, Londonderry hotels, Northern Ireland spa hotels, Derry hotel accommodation Londonderry Ireland

Let the man from Hampshire lead

No guarantees we'll get anywhere, but I'm sure I can find a good pub

I don't think too many will take too much persuasion with an offer like that
