Can you remember the street that elderly woman's house was on? Perhaps we could pull the run up outside, roll down the windows, and ask her for directions to any local gold deposits she may know of...
Lets track down an owner of a park lane and have the full set! Could even put them in order! One Seven, (least power), Cooper Park Lane (middle) and the Cooper S Checkmate (most power - should avoid the 'elastic band' effect! Then a sidewalk One/Cooper/Cooper S at either the end or the beginning - its a convertible! End may be better due to the new factor, although having said that, it may be the victim of the elastic band effect.
If anyone has / knows someone with a Park Lane, we need you/them to complete the set. How good would that look!
Sounds like a plan! I can only provide a Cooper S Sidewalk! Have to go now... it needs to get me from High Wycome to home now. Could be a pleasant evening's drive in the sun... except it's mostly up the M6 so will be horrific
Cooper S sidewalk is perfect. Couldn't have asked for better. Means that it could go at the back (most power, newest special edition, soft top etc) and also you won't suffer the elastic band effect.
In case you don't know what that is, its where one car sets off, then the next has to set off slightly faster... As you have a cooper s, this won't be a problem, however, if it was a one, I would suggest that the organiser puts it at the front of the special edition group - saves you worrying about the effect.
Still, hopefully the organiser will close of an area of the car park so we can get in position! It would look great going through the villages with a row of special edition minis! Even better if we could track down that park lane!
Anyone with a park lane?
If the organiser can let me know what he/she thinks to my suggestions I would appreciate it! We'd have to get a good area to park (ensuring our little special edition order stays the same!) during the lunch stop!
Oh no - the M6! It took me over an hour and a half to get between junctions 16 to 18 last time I was on it. And it's not like there was even anything (e.g. breakdown, crash, roadworks, cheerleaders dancing at the side of the road) that should have held up the traffic - veeerrrryyyy dull.
