If its the minifinity one they have a large group of new mini haters I and several friends were made very unwelcome When I went to help a classic that had broken down & asked if he wanted a tow out of the lights he said he would never be towed by a german piece of *****

I used to be on minifinity when the MINI was launched and was surprised at the amount of hatred for it!! I'm doubly surprised that this is still the case and people are taking this attitude onto runs etc. I'm sure not all people have this view...but it's such a shame when we could ALL enjoy each others cars!

Anyway...back on topic...I've no idea if it's just for classics or not!!

DON'T WORRY LESLEY, YOU'RE STILL MY TRAINEE BIATCH!!

I really hope that these were a one off incident, if we wanted a Classic we'd have bought one, The MINI is here to stay.

This is a Charity day out, they should accept us in the manner that we accept them, as enthusiasts who love their cars......

Last year while walking through the show I stopped and asked a group of Classic owners, are any new Mini's allowed to take part in the display which one guys replied "its all for charity mate, Mini's a Mini dos'ent bother me which way" since then a couple of Classic Owners have stopped me and said would you be interested in comming on this show next year. I contacted Mininfinty and asked them the same I got no negative feedback.

So I decided to see what sort of interest there was with the Lancshire MINI register, now they'll be around 10-15 New Mini's included in the show, and I for one am really looking forward to it!

BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds good to me, quite a trek from Essex but hopefully will be worth it as I will staying in blackpool for a few days afterwards.

Where are most of the MINI owners convoying from, I dont want to go from liverpool and be the only new MINI,

At the moment we only know that its starting from somewhere in Preston, details nearer the date. I can say that in order to take part in the Promenade display you need to register, otherwise you wont get on the promenade although you'll be able to join the convoy.

Its mainly Classic mini's and last year there where at least 190/200 of them and maybe 2 MINI's, as its sponsored by Minimaster, and run by Mininfinity they are all mad mini enthusiasts, but they say they will accept us........

The main event is run by Blackpool Borough Council, and is called "Totally Transport" with a huge range of vehicles,Old Buses, trucks, vans, vintage cars, TVR's, sports cars, american cars, and those Chysler things!!!! which are new vehicles, and of course plenty of mini's.
