Talking Heartbeat Run , thanks from the organisers

Caroline and I would like to thank everyone involved in todays run. When we started the thread in January this was going to be a quiet run organised by Rob Boyes and us two, WRONG

The level of interest from Mini2ers exceeded our expectations and along came the offers of help from Tim (aus-tim powers), Carl and Jane (Stormcrow) and Nick & Hayley. The organisation team then was formed and with help from Malton Mini (Jonnytenjobs), Caroline and I felt a lot more relaxed that we were not alone in organising what was to turn out to be a large run.

Everyone has played their part, got on with things and worked hard to make the day run as smoothly as possible and we thank them all for that.

Unfortunatly on the day there were two incidents, one when someone pulled out on Dinka Donka's almost new S and damaged the passenger door (not a Mini ) and Laura had a small accident which I believe resulted in some suspension damage . Sorry to you two that your day was not what you had hoped for

Thanks also to Taz2822 and New Mini sport for the gifts which I am sure will make the day more special for all of us

Moreover thank you to all those who came and enjoyed our first run

Cheers

Mart + Caroline

& a huge thank you back to all the organisers for managing to shepherd 100 minis across the north yorkshire moors in such a well organised fashion. How you all kept your cool & kept on smiling i don't know.

& well done on finding such a superb route. Wondefull scenery & some great roads. It felt like we were a liberating army driving through the villages with all the locals waving.

So well done guys - take a bow, you deserve it.

Just like to say thanks to all the organisers for a great day out. I'm afraid we had to head back early so didn't make it to Scarbourgh but you try telling a three year old that it isn't teatime yet!

Look forward to seeing you all again soon

cheers

thanxs to all concerned Martin, Caroline and company. Great day out. Nice too see everyone out there including the sheep. I had to pull out before lunch as my little boy got travel sick {literally!!} in the back. So we headed into Scarbro as the "scouts" in search of some disinfectant and some baby wipes. Is anyone still out there on the moors? I have this image of a solitary mini cooper that has lost his family endlessly going through Houghton Le Hole like the Flying Dutchman.
Must do it again . Cheers everyone

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to play.
Superb turnout and the atmosphere was great. Everyone stayed patient and kept smiling (well 99% of the time) even when we had a few issues to deal with. We really do thank you and hope that its something you will reflect back on fondly.

The day was not without incident.

Laura I am sure I speak for all when I say 'we hope you are ok, that your MINI is being cared for, and it will not put you off attending other meets'. We hope to see you soon.

Likewise, Dinka, with what would have made most shed tears, put on a brave face and continued with the run and in goof spirit. Good on ya mate.

It was great to see Martins beaming face when we all got to Burniston. Like a huge weight lifted off his shoulders. The biggest thank you goes to you Martin & Caroline for making it possible in the first place and I am honoured to have been able to play my small part.

Cheers all, hope to see familiar faces soon.

Stop ruddy rainin cos the 2nd Cam needs a thrashin !

Just to record my personal thanks and praise to all the organisers for a truly fantastic day out Beautiful scenery, some terrific roads and more MINIs per square mile than I'm likely to see again in a long while.

It was great to meet up with you all on the Saturday night too, Linda and I really enjoyed that.

Hopefully meet up with some, or all of you, again soon. Goes without saying but, if you're ever up in our neck of the woods be sure to give us a shout. It'd be great to see you

Fantastic day out - well organised, the route was superb.

Highlight of the the day - going down those 33% gradients.

Lowlight of the day 1 - seeing the aftermath of Laura's unfortunate incident.

Lowlight of the day 2 - the traffic on the way back from Scarborough to Leeds - it was murder.

Will be posting photos under the appropriate thread very soon.

It was nice to put faces to names.

Cheers guys.
