Hi MC,

Is this weekender still on for the 19/20 July?

I grew up in Windsor and there are some great roads in and around Windsor Great Park.

Part of the road around the castle is still open to traffic and would make a awesome place to drive-by in a MINI convoy. Guaranteed to get our cars in at least 1000 tourists photo albums

We could also take in a few sights like Eton College, Ascot, Slough (not) etc

What do you think?

Cheers
Stuart

I'm heading off to Windsor today to find somewhere to meet on Saturday and also to put together a short (but fun) route from Windsor to Bracknell.

How many people are likely to want to meet in Windsor on Saturday? Parking in Windsor is a nightmare and unless we meet early we are going to struggle to get parking together.

An alternative is for everyone to do their own thing during the day and to meet at the end of the day (say 3pm) somewhere back near the M4.

We could the spend an hour or two on the run before retiring to the hotel.

Thoughts?

Cheers
Stuart

its kinda quiet on this thread

i went for a drive around windsor and the great park on sunday and found a good 30 mile route that takes in Windsor Castle, goes full circle around Windsor Great Park and winds up in Bracknell. Theres an optional detour to Eton as well. It mostly A-roads but theres a few twisties and lanes thrown in for good measure.

Is anyone up for this? or is this just gonna be a sunday morning meet at thorpe park?

cheers
stuart

Sounds like a plan then

I've found a good car park in the Town Centre but theres no guarantees about how busy its gonna be.

I guess we just need to arrange a time. Like i said before i think we should aim early or late to avoid the shoppers.

btw, i'm not staying at the hotel - i live too close. I'd like to meet up again on the Sunday at Thorpe Park though

Wasn't planning on it but we could meet up at Warwick Services on the M40 if your planning to go that way?
