Coast To Coast (27/28 Sept)

Following the success of the Heartbeat Run we will be organising The Coast To Coast Run. The date is to be arranged, however we expect it to be towards the end of September. The run will start in the Lake District on the Saturday morning, include an overnight stop and finish on the East Coast.

Unlike the Heartbeat Run we will be restricting numbers to around 30 cars. The route out of the Lakes is sorted and the finish accross the North Yorkshie Moors will be a rehash of the Heartbeat Run, however not quite as long as people will need to drive back home. My thoughts were to stop in Thirsk on Saturday Night as the bulk of the driving will have been done by then.

Once I get more details I will post. Thanks to all who have offered to help, we will be in touch in due course.

Rumbled you the reason why you want to come is that there will be a drought by late September and you figure that there is plenty of water in the Lake District so you can clean the M2 mobile with a clean conscience

Looks like Mrs R and myself are going to have to miss out on this one because if it's at the end of September we'll be away on holiday.

Definitely count us in for this.
Boreel, Matt J and myself just returned from the lakes;
I think Hardknott and Rynose Pass are a no go for 30 cars Unless you're going to leave at 7am it will cause total gridlock for everyone concerned! 3 MINIs was pushing it, there's hardly any passing places and reversing down a 1:3 incline + hairpins is not fun guys!
There's a fantastic road along the coast which we recce'd.....Awesome! Totally smooth, perfect bends etc.
Hope we're not interfering, just wanting to help out

Maybe an earlier start would be a good idea?
