A big Thank You to you guys for doing this.

They are with us to try and ensure we keep the groups together as best as possible and to keep an eye out for anyone having problems or, indeed, if any one is being reckless and causing problems.

They are all experienced runners or organisers from other events and can be a point of reference for you during the day if you need it.

Please note though that these guys are not organisers of the event and had just put their names down to enjoy a day out - they have now volunteered to support us given the vast numbers we are expecting. So if you are not happy with any aspect of the day DO NOT give these guys any grief for it - come and let myself or Washy know please - in fact just tell Washy

Given the numbers we will be spiltting the cars into more manageable groups with Helpers leading, trailing and, where possible, in mid group too.

Washy and DK will be at Cherwell for 9.15, Soggy will lead the convoy leaving M1 J15a at 9.00 - PROMPT. Go to the far end of the Cherwell Service area to park up.

We will try to get all runners together at 9.55 for a quick brief. The plan is to then send off DK and her Puddlers at 10.00 on the dot and give them 5-10 mins before the remaining groups depart. We'll divide the remaining cars into groups of 3 and head of with a 5 minute gap between them - this should get everyone away by 10.20 latest.

After lunch we will do a single convoy through Bourton on the Water, revert to groups again from Sudeley Castle and then hopefully single convoy through Burford too.

One last thing - at the end of the day, or if someone leaves early, please hand back your badge holders - you can keep the insert if you wish.

Cotswold Run Pace Notes

IMPORTANT NOTICE

As you may or may not have realised the MMM's did a dry run of the route last Sunday - thank you guys for doing that

A couple of pointers came back regarding the notes that could lead to getting lost !!

1. At point no.15, they couldn't find the peach coloured house, it is in fact Magnolia !!! However the road sign is correct along with the mileage count.

2. At point no.71. Keep an eye on the mileage count as there are a couple of turns prior to the turn you need to take that are also signed for the same destination


Also - people are recommended to fill up before starting the run - there is a filling station at Cherwell Valley. I 'd recommend that you start with at least a 3/4 full tank. However if petrol is required en-route, I believe there is a Texaco petrol station during the run between point no.38 & no.39


Please bring the £2 for the lunch picnic parking in change as we do not want everyone giving up £10 notes etc, unless of course you want to pay extra

MINI Run Guide

I't still not too late to join the fun, there is not a limit on numbers so anyone can join right up to the last minute

If booked into the Ibis apparently you need to check in by 7.00pm, otherwise you may lose your room. It can be secured though by giving you credit card details in advance so if you are likely to be arriving later than 7.00 it's best to do this.

Start point is at Cherwell Valley Services, J10 M40, meeting from 9.30 for a 10.00am departure. Estimated finish time is about 16:30-17:00, and we will finish back at the Cherwell Services again.

Lunch

Lunch will be a picnic - Bring your own food and drink and pray for a sunny day! We will be using the private grounds of Kingham Hill School and there will be a £2 fee per car to cover the cost of this location. Toilet facilities are onsite.

Hotels

The Ibis Hotel is now fully booked

The Moat House Hotel is just over the road but a bit more expesive - however you may get a late deal at this last minute.
