Offline | We had a small meet last weekend with 8 or 9 cars meeting at Strawberry Fields and then enjoying a small run along the seafront to The ShoreHouse (or WhoreHouse as it was known in my youth ). We are looking at having another in a month or so involving a bit more of a drive and a decent pub lunch . Possible venue is The Anchor in Danbury which I have used in my Scooby owning days. There are also some excellent roads in that part of the world ![]() Keep your eyes open in this section and you'll pick up on the thread. Nice looking car by the way, have seen it in Sarfend when visiting my parents before I picked up the DS/B MCS, will flash next time. Yex ![]() Scream if you want to go faster !!! |

Offline | Hi everyone, I've had my Mini One for about a year now and I can't believe I've only just found this site! Yex, I live about a mile away from the Anchor in Little Baddow. I can also really recommend the roads in my neck 'o the woods. Amazingly enough I've never actually been into the Anchor but this sounds like a great idea. 15th or the 29th sounds good to me. Let's do it!!! -allseeing(min)i ![]() |

Offline | Can we settle on the 29th as the date? The 15th is Le Mans weekend, and therefore will involve television and lots of beer for many people (like me )Sounds like allseeing(min)i has the local knowledge for roads to run although I'm sure all suggestions will be welcomed ![]() My suggestion would be to meet somewhere earlier rather than later (when the roads are still quieter), blat around for a bit and aim to get to the Anchor for lunch? Yex, when you used to meet at the Anchor with the scoobs, did you need to liase with the owners at all? Adam. |

| MINI2 Master | Well I should...SHOULD have my car by then. Its due at Cooper Maldon on the 16th of June, but they need to fit my JCW kit (first one they're doing i think )So, yes count me in!! Danbury is about 7 miles from me and the anchor has a nice carpark out the back. I used it a lot last year at the Lotus meetings. ![]() Lotus Elise SC - Collecting 1st April |

| MINI2 Master | The Anchor isn't too hard to find. If you know where the Tesco petrol station is in Danbury, it's not actually much further on from there. I'd be happy to take a drive into Chelmsford and for people to follow me back (gotta get those miles on )That way, anyone coming off the A12 can follow me. With regards to numbers, I'm not sure, but it seems that there should be a good turnout from the posts. Quick question, are there any other JCW S's in Essex at the moment? I've been on the look out all the time, but I've only seen standard S's. Lotus Elise SC - Collecting 1st April |
