Offline | MINI community of Oxford area Hi, Do you live in or around Oxford - i.e. Abingdon, Didcot, etc.. Then is there a club or anything where people go to locally? If not, why dont we form one? |

| 220 of your finest horses | Hmm, something to rival the MM? We're in Banbury so not too far. We could try establishing a regular run around the great twisty roads in Oxford (to rip of an idea from Shamster and Mr Pink) and see who takes us up. We also have a few old air fields that are rentable for mad days out. Could be worth checking out, not forgetting all the great pubs for the drinking of lemonade. S ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Exactly! - i would love to arrange something like that. A good airfield is up at shippon which they often rent out - infact you dont even have to rent it out to have a spin on it - you just turn up and drive and no one ever says anything. That might be worth looking at. Anyone else interested? |

| 220 of your finest horses | Now we are getting somewhere If we can drum up aout 6 peeps, we could be in for a bit of a giggle, although the more the merrier. How are you finding other Oxford MINI drivers? They tend not to wave and lok realy poo faced when you flash them (or is it just me?) S ![]() ![]() |

Offline | I spend an inordinate amount of time in Bicester every other weekend so I'd be up for this. (I have also noticed the "let's ignore that Mini driver" attitude of drivers in Oxon )On the bright side - I do see a lot of the pre-prod Minis flying around - saw a Mini One D on Sunday. The "D" looks really weird on the back. Rich Finding blood in your stools is nature's way of saying "don't drink so much blood". |

Offline | i know what you mean about the Mini drivers around oxford in a way. On the test drive we were driving along and the salesman spotted a fellow One in the distance. She anxiously said 'flash your lights!' to us so we did....no response....so we did it again.....nothing...so one final time and what appeared to be a rather reluctant flash was returned by the driver. I think people round here are not that bothered by the Mini factor and just buy the car on its driving merits. |

Offline | I've pretty much given up waving while I am inside the Oxford Ring Road as I so rarely get a response ![]() I'm usually busy weekends but if you manage to arrange something on a weekday evening, let me know and I'll try to come along and join the fun. It's not how fast you go that matters BUT how you go fast. |

Offline | lol that is what i want to find out. TBH I often go on it in the Fiesta without asking - just have a burn around. Also, all the driving schools go there for first lesson pupils. |

Offline | Count me in too. S_and_M and BigC: If I see your MINIs around, I'll try and give you a wave. I usually wave at MINIs (if I see them in time and it's safe to do so). I get a fairly decent response rate round here, much better than in the London area anyway! |

Offline | Hmmmm yea mark, it could be. I often see a silver One coming from Radley Road - its quite a basic one with hub caps but it always looks neat. Also - have you spotted the yellow cooper with the black roof and stripes around? I see that loads too. |
