Offline | New Regional Forums..... OK Folks.. things are bound to get messy for a few days while we sort this out, but we now have more regional forums for the UK as the national forum was getting so busy, it was hard to keep up with posts, and the number of sticky posts needed was getting silly. Please post regional meets/discussions in the best UK region, and if it's national, then in here. If you have a post moved to a region and it's either a)Wrong, or b) Big enough to be a 'national' post, please let me know. This should be good for us all in the long run! | Tinkering In The Garage | wouldn't it just have been easier just to have rules governing what can be made "important" local events being made important 5 months in advance seems a bit silly that would have dealt with a lot of them. What exactly constitutes a National Event? sorry just sounding off cos now i have to read 11 or so forums to get a handle on what events are going on Ady (R50) ![]() |

Offline | So you think Dover and Birmingham are closer than Bournemouth and Brighton? I can add a south if you think it's worth doing. I'm trying to keep everyone happy while not going OTT on the number of forums. There aint no party like my nana's tea party |

Offline | I would agree with Max - if the forums are to follow this new format I don't think you can include places like Hants, Dorset/Wilts et al in the South East (much as we like everyone in those areas! The only problem is that our Maniacs meetings are regularly attended by people from much further away (Surrey, North London, Milton Keynes, and even Worcestershire). As these meetings are open to people from all areas as long as they're prepared to make the journey I would hate to see people losing out on the opportunity to make new friends in case they missed a thread. 260909 ![]() |

Offline | I must admit, that when the weather comes on the box, and they yabble on about the south east, that definitely isn't Dorset and surrounding areas - but, to my mind, neither is it exactly south west. We (Dorset/Wilts and surrounds) seem to be stuck in the middle. So have to tend to agree with Max on this one (provided you've room for a further split), the south would cover the counties he's mentioned. Just a thought. Offline | Stupid suggestion?.... would it not be easier to do all this based on the ITV regions? Everyone would be familiar with them.... sorry if someone has already suggested it.... |

Offline | I think that its more that no one really cares where MK is.... Isn't it the dead centre of England? OK, no, I don't much care for MK. Sometimes I have to go there for work reasons, which means staying away from home.... |

Offline | I really like Milton Keynes as a place to live AND drive. Ginger made a comment on his last trip about not knowing we had so many good roads around here. Local roads for local people..... There aint no party like my nana's tea party |
