Offline | Keep your eye's on the John Cooper Works visit people, it's about 2-3 hours from M11 J7, so it will be a nice ride if you're interested. Was a 1, now 1 of 150 in a 40 |

Offline | smartbomb, Why not? I don't bite, honest! lol (as in owner of lolly) may be joining Herts/Essex too, so hopefully there will be at least 2 of us token females ![]() m1les, Re: Visit to JCW I would probably drive out from central London and join the convoy on M25 or whatever. We could meet up with the others from southeast and form a bigger convoy! ![]() |

Offline | PR girls are an essential part of motoring IMO - they love attention, and so do MINIs, so they go together like...like...like me and a fat heffer after a couple of lagers... Seriously - a trip to JCW would be most interesting, as I'm thinking about having the conversion done (or maybe just buying an 'S'). On the club front, it seems as though the HERTS/ESSEX crowd are quite keen - so where do we go from here? I'm dying to see 'Apple' when it/he/she is delivered... ![]() |

| Bring the noise | Not sure JV, I only have a mini at present so will I be allowed to bring my 'imposter' along !? MINI due April-ish. Still have to see your car sometime..... I guess to get up and running, we'll need a 'plan' ! My club does monthly pub meets but I've never been to one ! Newsletter ? I'm going off the idea of PR girls, I like a gril who comes with the TLC plan, years of trouble free running and good value too ! |

Offline | Smartbomb, didn't you make a tounge in cheek comment about mini clubs accepting MINIs in another thread? hmmmm I think from the response of this post, we definately need to organise something together. Who's going to be the first to take up the reigns and organise a meet? nc Sold MINI, Bought Volvo V40 TD. I Feel Dirty! |

Offline | How about an initial "Hi and Bye" meet at Junction 8 on M11 - loads of parking spaces there, KFC, Burger King etc.? ![]() On a more serious note, I like smartbomb's suggestion of Duxford as a venue for meets. I have not been there, but have always wanted to visit. ![]() |

| Bring the noise | Neil, Yes, I did have a little poke....I have been to numerous mini shows last year and have first hand experience of what you guys and me soon are up agianst !!!!! Sadly as I am MINIless at present and not due 'til April sometime, will I be allowed to come along ? I think a good course of action would be to meet like DCFKAN suggets at maybe off the M11 and bash out what needs doing and who can do it ! I don't mind helping out, need to find shows and events to attend... As for Duxford, it is a fantastic venue, there are acres of hard standing ! and plenty to look at to make a great day out. The problem with a lot of shows that they are held in fields, and once you have looked at all the cars thats your day ! Gaydon was superb cos' you had the museum and fireworks too... |

Offline | So then...Duxford it is? What now? And Tim - my last bird and my current bird are both PR girls...well worth the effort once you've dragged them away from Vogue/Marie Claire/Tatler/Wallpaper/The Face...trust me on that. And as for hunting in pairs, with TWO MINIS how could we possibly fail - TWICE as sexy as normal ![]() |

Offline | Put on your best suit, a pair of dark shades, and then park up outside Herts & Essex School at 15:30 or so on a weekday. Use the cover afforded to you by the dark shades to look around you (TIP: Electric door mirrors are useful for covert observation)...NOW tell me that a MINI is not the biggest chick magnet on Earth! ![]() |

Offline | Re: If you need proof, just try this... Good idea old boy! I will see you outside H&E one day. Must remember to wair the oakleys though ( I have been out with most of H&E at some point, might be reconginsed!!!)It is true what you said about the Mini being a chick magnet. I has to go to Suffolk in mine today with my other half. She was in a shop and I waited outside with my Mini. These two blonde lovley ladys walked by, looked at the Mini and came over(I thought I had died and gone to heaven!!) They started chatting to me and they said that they would love a ride sometime(in the Mini I think!!). I was just about to tell them that it was not a good time when guess who walked out of the shop, you gussed it my other half. All I can say is that I had the most peacefull ride back I have ever had, she did not and has still not talked to me since(Must note this day down in my Diary!!!!!) If she's not smoking she broken! |
