| oh.. serious though (not many of them in my head) what time are we meeting up? and where? or are we hanging fire on the details untill the council get back to you? In regards to your list on post #1 there will be me and the bf, kevin, in the car...maybe more if the friends want to join in (friends I hear you say?.. she has friends!?) | I'm hanging fire until I get word back, from my man at the Council.....he reckons on that date it'll take 2-3 hours to go South to North on the front. He thinks we may be better off meeting to the north of 'pool and heading to our parking area (if we get one), mill around there for a while, to get some grub, before heading South on the front.....as he recommends that this is a quicker route though....I guess we'd head homeward from there? If we end up doing this....I reckon we could try to get to the car parking at the N Pier for say, 18-00....then leave to do the lights 'bout 19-30 - 20-00....... We'll have a better idea once I've got some feedback.... Does anyone else have any alternative suggestions? Cheers, Robert |

| Well done on talking to the council for the parking. We always think South to North seems better - but that's probably why more people do it that way around which is why it takes longer. We drove it both ways last September and the prom side of the road was a lot nicer as you didn't get the people falling (literally) out of the pubs and clubs. The downside of meeting up at the south end in the early evening is that it will take forever to get to the rendezvous. If we start at the North, and get to the south at, say, 21:00 it'll probably be a bit quieter and heading back north to complete a lap would probably be quite speedy. We're happy to do whatever is decided. BTW We're not "probables" any more, we're "definites"! MCS JCW CR/CR ; MOD LY/B |
