looking like a good turnout so far (no, not that kind of turnout ). Now that i've got the dales run out of the way if you need a hand with owt for this one give me a shout.

my two penn'th for an overall plan would be a midday-ish meetup, an afternoon convoy over, play around blackpool until it gets dark & then a run through the lights & home. whaddya reckon?

I agree, mid-dayish would be better. no point travelling the distance for a couple of hours.

Where are you reckoning on meeting up? We're going to be staying near Preston on Friday night but would happily drive to a meet up somewhere for a convoy to the lights.

probably somewhere near preston would be a good central point for everyone to meet up before heading into blackpool. i can't remember if theres any local services off the M6 at junction 31 - Samlesbury

Yes there is a BP garage next to the hotel and also a big Motorway Police station !!!!

I'm working on a meet up point.......could do Salmesbury or how about Charnock Richard Services on the M6....assuming most are travelling from the South?

I've not heard anything from my man at the council.....will chase him tomorrow........

Let's go for Charnock Richard as a "grouping" area then!

I'm assuming that anyone travelling from Yorkshire / East of the Penines is likely to go M62, then M6....so that should do us all?

As for times.....my thinking goes like this....we've got some peeps coming from the W Midlands and Yorkshire.....so we don't wanna meet too early!???

How's about meeting up 3pm at Charnock Richard Services (Northbound).

Leave CR at 4pm for a trundle into Blackpool, starting at the southerly end of the prom and finishing at the rendezvous adjacent to the North Pier. (Subject to Council Approval). This will take us to about 6pm.

There, we can park up, admire our cars, Branston can do her "thang" on the dance floor, and we can also get some grub!

From the rendezvous we can then head back, southbound on the prom, and then head home from there (9pmish?)

How does this sound?

If this sound like a cr@p plan please suggest an alternative.........?
