Poll for Track Day Venue

Carrying on from the Trackday Anyone Thread thought I'd get an idea of where most people would like it to be based - Thread died a bit once it was moved to Meetings and Events so have to see how many we can get

Monsta - thanks for link to 'bookatrackday' was hoping to keep costs down by going direct to couple of contacts I have IF we get enough interest in the right area

Vote away

Racer, no problems for the link. I am quite happy to go anywhere as long as it isn't too far North.. Somewhere central would be good but obviously I am biased towards somewhere near home..

the MINI has gone...

I'm hoping to be at a few venues before the season begins testing so chances are if the vote is evenly split it'll be South of Watford !

Track Location

gotta say i have either raced on or taken part on track days on most circuits throughout the UK and my fav is still the GP circuit at Brands

When you come out of paddock into one of the most difficult and intimidating corners in the country the feeling as you get it right is awesome, Dingle Dell on the old part of the circuit is a real thrill and one to scare the wits out of an unwary passenger, Its all good. Highly recommended.

Let me know if you want some help organising the day!
Would love to

Second Thoughts!

I automatically voted for where I live, (Midlands) then remembered that my favourite track is Oulton Park. Doh

I'm told Cadwell is a real hoot too, but haven't experienced it yet.

I'm quite happy to drive a couple of hours to the event, so hope that helps.

I'm hoping to live down to my name ..or is that never live it down.... or oh well lets put it this way you won't be hearing much from me if I'm more suzuki (or something like that wasn't it) than schumacher!

Thats only 13 votes so far which isn't enough to make it a cheap day keep going people (no voting twice just to screw my figures up either !)

Midlands/South East suits me... I'll be up for it, but alas I can't vote on these things without getting error messages spat back at me!!

i agree that a lot of people are not voting but would attend

prob best to look at the stats on a venue location
choose one talk to the track and look at a 30 car provisional booking?

we have half that number all ready and i am sure once firm details are announced there will be more from the woodwork

always found this in my experience in the past

Question Track Day Update?

Racer,

Got 23 votes now - not sure how many of these are serious though. Is an event viable with only say 15?

With these low numbers, an alternative is Curborough sprint venue - very cheap! (Near Litchfield)

Or alternatively get a group booking with one of the track day specialists.

What do you think?
