Just wondering if anyone is going to Castle Combe on the above date and are brave enough to take their car on teh track at Miniworld's Action Day! I am, and just wondering if there is going to be a MINI1.com stand there?
Cheers!

It would be even better if there was a MINI2 stand !!!!!
May try and make it as I live 5 mile away, however I am currently out of the country and due to return sometime in mid sept, and may be away on holiday somewhere cold, wet and windy. But will try and make it if I can.
I went last year and there were a fair few New MINI's there, some even out on the track !!!!!!
Yeah...
I'll be coming down...
For the 9th year in a row!! This time with the new toy tho!!
Dunno about taking it on the track tho, since we won't have any free passes to get on the track this year, and I've still not convinvced myself that I want to take the car on the track... I mean I *WANT* to... but... breaking my classic cooper would have been expensive enough!! but now... don't bear thinking about!!
Either way, I'll be there. Look out for a Pepper White Cooper with tinted windows and 17s.... don't be afraid to say hi!
Looks like we'll be camping with the Anglian Mini Club again close to the circuit... always good for a giggle (and copius amounts of falling down juice!!)
Mmmmm Castle Comb is only a hour's drive away from me. I've always wanted to have a race around it, might be worth it. Does anybody have a url to the organisiners website with more specific details (do we need to pre-register for track time, how long do we get on the track, is it an open pit/session ?).
You dont have to pre-register. Just turn up and pay your money, £20-25 from what I remember from last year.
You get 5 laps, and must wear a helmet which can be hired for an additional costs if you dont have your own.

I'll look foward to seeing you all there, I'll be on the track as long as I can get decent track day cover!

Hi - what a brilliant day, managed to get on the track twice, and I wanted to go again and again. Managed to beat most classic mini's except for one estate that was unbelievaby quick. My second go I managed to catch up with a new S (anyone here?) but couldn't get past for obvious reasons!!!!!
The best show I've ever been to... cant wait till next year...

I was already to go to this, had camera packed, tripod, in-car mount and everything! Then I woke up at 2:30pm on saturday which was a bit late, if I had left there and then would've made it to the track at 4pm which would've been way to late! Did anybody manage to get any pic sfrom the day? how many new MINI's where there and what was the track driving like, I know? how many cars on the track?
Woke up at 2:30pm?? I woke up at 4am as I was so excited!! I've got some pics, will post the URL as soon as I can get my ass in gear... Not as many new minis there as I thought there would be probably only about 10 or so.. also got video footage in car so I'll sort that out soon. First track time that I had there were about 30 cars on the track - very scary 1st lap, the other time I was on the track there was probably about 20 ! will post the URL soon!

I was there when the estate passed, he was going pretty quick!! I didnt go on the track as my tired are knackered and that would have killed them off, and im too skint to buy a new set at the moment.
There were a few S's going round but none seemed to be going too fast, I was a bit dissapointed with them. Very impressed with the White classis..ish Watsons hill climbe car with a Honda V-Tech engine in it. Definatly the fastest car on the track.
Looking forward to next year, hopefully with a decent set of tyres.
