a Pattie in hull is very much like a fish cake, but with more potato than fish & more herbs. they are delish. what was described above as a pattie is definately a scone, or a yorkshire teacake if you're posh

what carl's description fails to mention is that you then eat said double cooked cheesey meat with a liberal application of 'garlic sauce' which is non-specific white sauce (similar to runny mayonaise) with added garlic flavour.

& chips.

& you have to eat it out of the box obviously. the use of crockery or cutlery detracts from the experience & is frowned upon - much in the same way as you would never eat a kebab off a plate

Didnt mention it, cos I didnt know this was now considered de rigeur. Is it a recent parmo development? The Europa NEVER offered me Garlic Sauce, and like the fella said...they're best in Boro

I always used to have Hot Shot Parmo, chips and salad... extra garlic and chilli sauce... a right concoction...
