Hi

If there is anyone in the southwest area who would be up for meeting up on a regular basis, maybe once a month for a cruise let me know. I was a member of a local club with my Classic, but they wont allow the new Mini in !!! I enjoyed the crusing and the get together but wont go there no upon principle, so let me know if you want to go for a regular cruise...

I would be very interested in going for regular cruise in southwest area. I live in south devon and I am a member of my local club with my classic mini but it just doesn't seem right to take a new mini to a classic mini meeting when I can take my classic mini.

2 from Cornwall & 2 from Devon so far, I was thinking about making it like the 1st wednesday evening every month depending on everyone else that is - where in Devon do you live as we can try and make it as central as possible, if anyone has any good places to meet or n suggest a better time let us know so we can all decide!

Hi Rob,

I'm from Plymouth. I Used to Work at the Dartmoor Inn at Lydford ( Half way between Tavistock and Okehampton) and the Lotus 7 club used to meet there. It has a nice large car park and serves very nice food. I could give them a ring and ask if you like or would you prefer somewhere nearer? Let me know what you think?

Ah, the South West at last raises its head above the parapet for the first time since the summer cruise. Will keep a weather eye on devs. and hopefully pop down when the lighter evenings/Spring etc., returns.

Sounds like a good location, I've no problem travelling there as the roads are good fun! we could always make the meetings at different locations to try and make the travel fair. If you could find out and then we could make a date for Jan!

A club would be a good idea, I think we've talked about it before but I think people are too busy to take on the responsibility of organising the meets, etc. Perhaps one way around it could be that each person takes it in turn to organise a meet venue, by selecting a particular date, location, and making the necessary arrangments, of their choice. That would allow the meets to move arround so that no one person would be disadvantaged with having to drive excessive distances (Keef ) all the time, but to favour everyone.

However saying that, Tuesdays or Thursdays are best for me, but it's all down to the individuals, as everybody has different things on (You can't please all of the people, all of the time ).

But I think a regular meeting would be beneficial, as we could all meet up to talk about future runs, chat about all thing MINI, etc, as you do...

Hi, all sounds good, lets make it a date, in regards to setting up the club etc, I'm quite happy to set up a website as I did this for the Cornish Mini Cub(Classic) and was pretty straight foward, Stuarts idea about different people organising meetings each month is good as it does make it fair for everyone - If anyone wants me to put together a website send me pics and specs of your car and anything else relevant, also we need to get a name!!!!
