Rocks & Radars Run (Dales Run ver 2.0)

Date: Sunday 18th April 2004
Start/Finish venue: Skipton, North Yorkshire
Start Time: 10:00am
Finish Time: 5:00pm (approx.)
Total Distance: 111 Miles (approx.)
Route: Skipton-Kettlewell-Middleham-Fountains Abbey-Ilkley-Haworth-Skipton

Due to the increase in numbers attending this run i have closed the list of attendees. This has been done in an effort to ensure that the run is still manageable & enjoyable for those already attending, and to ensure that there is sufficient parking available at the stop points.


THE RUN
The run will start from the Town Hall Car Park on Skipton High Street at 10:00am. Follow the signs for town centre parking. Toilets are available at this car park.

Due to the increased number of cars this run will be split into 2 groups as follows:
Group 1 leader - Hat
Group 1 helpers - Rakey & Oddball
Group 2 leader - Mad Brummie/MiniAdventurer
Group 2 helpers - Captain & Northandy/SamL

during the day Taz is going to be collecting/ requesting sponsorship for the Round Great Britain Run in aid of Whizz Kidz. I hope everyone will give generously to this very worthy cause & support the efforts of Taz & his Wacky Racers

ACCOMODATION
theres a travelodge at one end of the skipton bypass which is less than a mile from the town centre - http://www.travelodge.co.uk/travelod...hp?site_no=302
theres also a Hanover international which is more towards the luxury end - http://www.hanover-international.com...x.php?option=1
other than that i'd reccomend probably a pub check this link for loads of b&b's & smaller hotels. i've never stayed in any so i can't vouch for them - http://www.skiptonweb.co.uk/tourist/accommodation.asp
