Online | There won't be a "run" like the last one I arranged, theres going to be a 3 or 4 stage run to some phot ops, with time for people to go off on the relevant road for a blast. That doesn't mean racing and speeding won't be condoned. BUT most of the roads have a national speed limit, and your unlikley to be able to break it on the roads I have in mind (to twisty). If anyone has any bright ideas about racing and being a pillock then don't come. That doesn't mean you can't have fun, but the last run we did and a hell of alot of fun on country roads and no accidents, speeding tickets etc. So lets keep it safe ![]() BTW I'm 23 not 73! And me and mathmos shoudl be arranging it. If anyone has any ideas of what htey'd like the run "to be like". I.e. suggestions etc let me know. We're planning a run where when we stop for 10-20 mins, the people who want a blast can do, those that don't can take in the scenery take pictures etc. I.e. something for everyone. ![]() |

![]() Em - mental | OK here's some images ....... Comments welcome on the proposed run routes.... I just chose some twisty roads and some national speed limit ones..... MAP OF THE MEET (TO USE AS A GUIDE WITH DAMO'S EXCELLENT MAP) 3 POSSIBLE ROUTES FOR THE POST-LUNCH POOTLE Red/White circle is Start/Finish and follow the black line ..... I'd wanna do a dry run with Damo b4 the meet just to make sure they havent stuck down sleepin policemen or summit daft like that....... Offline | Any of the Routes look good . There aren't any sleeping police men on these roads, just watch out for speed cameras on A6 and the road to Darwen.Take care when going from Horwich/Rivington/Belmont - roads are narrow and twisty. But there will be a lot of bikers zooming around as they meet at Rivington Barn. |

Offline | All three routes look fine......I'm not bothered which one we do.......when I used to commute to Leyland every day, I used to look accross to Belmont from the M6.....it's quite a contrast in scenery to the bit either side of the motorway! RedUn you have a PM...... Cheers, Robert |

![]() Nervous.. | Routes look cool Mathmos! Whichever 1 is fine with me. Good to see familiar & unfamiliar faces last night & make a few more new friends before the meet! I enjoyed it last night. The drive home was a bit hairy though!!! Wipers on full wack, goin past trucks - massive water spray, standing water on the motorway & having a little high speed fun with RedUn ![]() Quite scary, but, quite fun!!!! See you all real soon, Dave. |

Online | I really did think I had been flashed last night even if I was doing 38 in a 40 zone and the flash was in the sky over westhoughton. I like the idea of a lazy sunday meet meet up get some food drive round a bit not too much nothing to organised it would kill Mrs DK. |

![]() Em - mental | I think there may be some around tockholes on one of the routes.... i'll check narrow and twistyy yummmm - i used to do the rivington --> darwen run across the mors everyday..even in ice in a crappy escort so i'm sure we'll be fine... As for the bikers...its a god sign really .... bikers know the good places to pootle about where theyre arent any pesky coppers.... even though we are all good children and drive 2mph below the limit ![]() Mathmos_Man is provided as a free item to readers for their personal use, and may not be resold or copied for distribution. Online | Mathmos "runs" aren't far off what I had in mind to ![]() Only thing we'll avoid is A6 though, want to keep to country roads. The first run started at Middlebrook and ended at Haigh Hall. Which is an idea (skips out the A6 (except we may cross over it) ). Anyway will be talking to mathmos to get it sorted ![]() ![]() |
