cool, some places seem a bit far to travel, we have a few people up here wit minis, but we seem to be too far north in england and too far south in scotland... but we have some brill roads in the lakes

A lakes run would be cool.It would be a great day out and the scenery would be awesome.I agree that there are a lot of great windy roads around the lake district .I believe there was one run last year that started in the lakes.(Coast to Coast).I'm sure there will another one along a similar format. Can't wait!!

Let's hope that the talk materialises into something more tangible .If that's the case then I definately can't wait!! its going to have to be very well organised given the fact that hotels and B+B'S are always booked up well in advance in the Lakes once we get into Late Spring.
I'm sure it will de discussed by the usual MINI2 regulars in due course .Anyway I'll keep my fingers crossed.

yeah, ive been talking to MikeytheMini a few weeks ago about a lakes run / weekend / trip. hopefully it will get discussed and organised. im certainly not gonna let the cat out of the bag on the details. But whats been discussed so far takes in some great scenery and real scary roads.

Boycey - as Hat has said, if you want a run round the lakes get the ball rolling. Me and the wife were round on Sunday, really enjoyed it as the roads werent to busy, although Bowness- on-Windermere was like Blackpool as normal!!
I`m in Carlisle so if you want a hand sorting a route and date out let me know.
I once suggested a run round the lakes and incorporating the road up to Alston as this stretch from Penrith is rated as one of the best 10 drives in Britain.
I feel the same being a bit detatched from everyone else.....awwwww!!! as Carlisle is in the middle of bloody nowhere.....100 miles to civilisation this way, 60 miles to Geordieland that way.
Although its not to bad gan over to the Toon and we had agreat day out last summer on Taz`s Great North Run.
Dont be shy, get the thing moving, as I said if you want a hand? Theres plenty of MINI2 friends out there who would love a blast in the Lakes.

Sorry Daz`S, will be on hols in sunny florida. so will have to miss the delights of Whitley Bay this year.
Shame though, cos we thoroughly enjoyed last years Gt. North Run.
