Future N.W. England Regional Meets

As agreed at last nights meet, our regional meets will now be 'calendered' to make them easier to plan for. One every six weeks. They will be open to anybody, not just ClubMINI2 members (unless I am ordered otherwise from above ) and I will try to arrange some inter-region meets with neighboring regions.

What I'm proposing, to make things easy is. The meets will be either the last Saturday night of the month or the second Saturday, depending on how they fall.

So, based on this and the last meet being last night (which ties in nicely ) the next meet will be... Saturday May 11th venues will be decided in the normal way via a thread and if enough members can't make a certain date, we will (by agreement) move it.

The meet after that will be Saturday June 29th

So people, thoughts and feelings and comments on this???

And the most important question, where are we having the next meet. (I've found a great restaurant in Chorley that does "MINI" portions, in capital letters on the menu too how good would that be??? though obviously we would have to compensate by having a MINI starter, a MINI main and a MINI dessert )

Also would anybody be interested in meeting up with Martyns Meet maybe in Macclesfield???

Thanks and see you all soon,
Col.

Shame you didn't discover the site a couple of days earlier. We had a Meet at the Trafford Centre on Saturday night keep your eyes on this thread for details of the next one (and feel free to contribute to it). Hope to see you at the next one.
Col.

P.S. There is also this meet (Martyns Meet) which I am planning to attend,

Sorry I missed out!!

I was'nt very well over the (holiday) weekend, and coupled with the fact i can't surf the net at home at the mo, i missed the meet. Did I miss much, i bet i did. Neway, I have come up with, what I think is is a really good idea. I have found a hotel at Kirkby Lonsdale, that isn't to expensive, so maybe we could have a night away?!!?!??! Could be fun, we could the go and do burn outs with the bikers on Devil's Bridge. hehehehehe

Whats the thoughts boy's and girls.

Colin, your plan sounds fine.

At least by doing this people can state early enough if they can't make meets so the date can be changed. I was all set for the 23rd, but by the time you'd decided to change to 30th I'd already got something else booked.

As for MiniMark's suggestion for a night away, great for you young, free, single Mini owners with no domestic ties but not an option for those of us with family and home commitments!(Just something to bear in mind)

Mini's have feelings too!

That's the thinking behind it, we'll give it a go and if it doesn't work out we can always go back to the old way.

Please also visit Martyns Meet Thread I'm trying to get as many North West people to this meet as I can.

To be honest, a night away in a hotel is probably a bit to expensive for me at the moment too (even if it is a cheap hotel).

One idea that has been bounced about a couple of times is a weekend away in the Lake District, maybe involve the other regions too? This is one for the better weather, but would be great fun if people are up for it? All those lovely country roads and bacon sandwiches cooked in the fresh air.. can't be beaten in my book Also the May national ClubMINI2 meet at Alton Towers can't be far away now? We could be VERY busy with our MINIs at this rate.

If only I could afford to stay in the Alton Towers hotel.
Do you think they'd give a discount if every room was taken!

Regards,

TC.

yip, all welcome at our meets I live in Westhoughton, so if you see a black and white cooper with white bonnet stripes dashing about, be sure to flash your lights
