Top weekend Hat cheers for organising another good run. Meal was excellent (ask Stormcrow , i think he had some of everyones food ) yes my clutch seemed to be smelling a little , but it seemed everytime i stopped it was on a hill ( at least i didt stall it ) but it seems to be ok now.

i have loads of pictures but i'm having computer probs atm so bear with me and i'll try to get them online soon

just for the record, the mass U turn was chris' fault, not mine and my navigation skills were excellent!! (better than Rakey's parking anyway.... )

it was right when you called us for the first time. the route note mileages were slightly out and the direction "turn right at T junction and continue down hill" was half a mile after the last one (supposedly ). so half a mile after the last instruction, a road appeared on the right, but we didn't take it b/c we thought we might come upon a T junction if you see what i mean. so then chris decided that we should have done, so we turned round and headed back that way... just as we were turning down the side road, captain stopped us and told us to turn round AGAIN and go back the other way b/c we had been right the first time. so that was how we got everyone mightily confused. should have got some pics

btw i'm only joking about the route notes, our mileage was off slightly but they were really good notes, esp with all the lil pictures!!

i know exactly where you mean. some of the first group took that first right turning as well & ended up back on track by coming into bingley from the opposite direction & joining again at the traffic lights. We set off up the hill out of bingley with only about 6-8 cars so we pulled over in harden a couple of miles further on & suddenly the rest of the group who had gone the wrong way re-appeared. thats how lorraine found herself going from the back of the group to somewhere in the middle!

one of the people who led everyone else down that wrong turn only lives 5 miles from there & he got it wrong so it must have been my notes. i remember looking at it on a recce & thinking "someone's going to think thats the right turn & go down there"

good job the road's nice & wide just there

Just wanted to add my thanks for another excellent run. Brilliant directions, nice to take in a few landmarks/touristy spots and, of course, brilliant roads once again. Cheers.

Mal.

yeah, that was it we pretty much regrouped through the traffic lights bit and the front bit of the group pulled over by the garden centre to let some people catch up and swap leaders (we let captain lead for a bit b/c he knew that area a bit better than us). gave us a chance to laugh at the impreza that came revving it's engine and fishtailing down the road while we were lined up- he promptly turned around and came past again! shame we didn't have rakey and his exhaust with us

also rakey's parking for Sam and jlo, following the heartbeat pics
