Mart, glad that you and Caz were not hurt. Must have been scarey though and pretty shocking I would think.

And the reason I've got the expensive stereo is to drown out the protesting engine as I try and keep up with the supercharged brigade! Seriously though, glad you enjoyed the day, it was good to have a chat with you, shame the lunch break was over so soon! The website you asked me about for the Momo gearknob and handbrake is http://www.deutscheperformance.co.uk/ but they don't always have pictures of the products on the site. Hope to see you again, take care.

Did anyone see the woman in a Golf on the road to Cow and Calf rocks? she had to wait behind parked cars while umpteen MINIS went through --

In true Victor Meldrew style she shouted to us--
"I don't belive it all these F***ing MINIS"

I shouted back don't worry love you have just been MINI2'ed

She gave a 2 fingered wave -

PS --- umpteen is Yorkshire for quite a lot!!!!!!

As I had to go onto Leeds that late morning, on my way thru Otley I passed two Sunday Convoys Skipton bound.... a bunch of low slung musclebound TVR/s and a later a pack of 8 Ferraris ( all red bar the sickly banana one ( sorry Captain) ) Did you encounter them on the run?

I love this shot, Lorraine. Just gives me a sense of what the drive must have felt like.

no we nevr saw those Taz but we did see a convoy of around 10 assorted porsches, one Morgan & a Golf VR32? who came through Middleham as we were parked up & then 10 mins later they all came back heading in the opposite direction. There must be a Porsche driving equivalent of you out there

Skipton is a bit of a magnet for car clubs. The day we recced last years dales run the town was full of Caterhams all meeting up for a run, plus a 1920's Bentley. Its all those lovely miles of dales roads.
