Peeps,

There are not many hotels large enough to accommodate us all in Borders , hence we may need to go to somewhere near Edinburgh, be warned!

This is a message for those whose room I have booked for the hotel at Portsmouth/Southsea for the night of 30 Apr 2004.

I would like to ask each of you to book your room with the hotel at Portsmouth/Southsea, so that I cancel the existing booking for 9 rooms.

The reasons for this are:

1) Any ammendments have to be communicated to the hotel directly (the rooms had been booked via activehotels.com), and I expect there will be changes required.

2) I used my own CC to guarrantee 9 rooms, and I really do not wish to be responsible for charges incurred due to no-show or late cancellations etc..

Hope you'd understand.

Please let me know once you have booked your room, so that I can go ahead and cancel the 9 rooms already booked.

Tried to book 2 rooms just and Unfortunately the hotel you have chosen doesn't have any rooms available for the dates you have selected.

However the following nearby hotels are available.

Yup, as Max could not book anymore rooms either! Hence I cancelled it a couple of nights ago

I tried just before-I think will have to ring them-Hopefully it wont have bumped the Price up!!

I did say they may smell a rat, as they did turn me down when I approached them directly, before I got the 9 rooms booked, now cancelled

Ok, I think Royal Beach smelt a rat as no more rooms are available!

Shall look for another hotel somewhere in the vicinity.

£50 Per Person-POST CONFIRMATION RECIEVED.

Inverness booked-2 rooms Twin/Double
£90 Per room-POST CONFIRMATION RECIEVED.

BTW, I have contacted everyone on the list to inform them that:

1. There is a new thread that they need to subcribe to, and it is stupid here who deleted the original thread without thinking about thread subscription

2. That hotel bookings have commenced, and that there is a separate thread for this purpose.

You threw me there - you booked the Royal Beach ahead of the others, as you are already on the list for that one

Ride a cow to find a horse, otherwise those who have booked may not have anywhere to stay.

Find alternative, book, then cancel the original booking, safer that way
