yeh, I'm confused now so what are the people doing who booked in a the Portsmouth hotel? - feel like leicester again

Taz and Max,

As mentioned, I have made enquiries to find a bigger hotel that can accommodate us all in Portsmouth/Southampton.

Those of us who have booked into the Royal Beach may have to cancel our bookings with them, AFTER we have booked ourselves into the new hotel.

PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL your existing bookings, in case the group has to split up and stay in different hotels! I hope not, however, that would be our worst case scenario

I have made contact with Best Western via phone, after not hearing anything from them for over 24h.

We SHOULD know within 48h or so if they can accommodate us in Portsmouth/Southampton and Borders.

HOWEVER, it is unlikely we can make individual bookings

I have requested if they would accept 25 individual cheques made out to each hotel, and the lady replied she would put that forward for us.

I have requested for dinner, bed and breakfast rate, quoting the Inverness rate as a guide

See how it goes, shall report as soon as I know more

My e-mail confirming my booking referred the rate as "per room / per night and include accommodation, full breakfast and tax", and I thought, where is dinner???!!!

Hence I have e-mailed them back to say it should include dinner!!!

So PLEASE check and confirm yours includes dinner

If they come back and say there was a mistake, then I shall deal with it, as I have documented evidence that the original rates quoted included dinner
