What about Gretna for the borders hotel I have stayed here several times and it is very nice. Standard prices are high but they usually do discounts, each time I have stayed it has been about £70 dinner, B&B (for two people) I'm still OK with Dumfries if we want to stay there. ![]()

No sure who is doing the Scottish route but I'm happy to help / or do the route - best check at Cullen run this weekend to avoid stepping on toes. I'm sure we can sort out an interesting route from whatever borders point the group decide to stay at so no need to wait for a route to be set before we book our hotels. Hope this helps. ![]()

Hi peeps, Thanks for everyone's support to move this on ![]() As mentioned by myself and other people, we need to find hotels that can accommodate us fast and then get the route sorted to take us there. During my search, we have already been turned down by hotels that have been booked for weddings that weekend. Hence, we need to move fast to secure somewhere for Day 3 in Borders or whatever, and to decide whether to decamp to another hotel in Portsmouth on Day 1 ![]() Duncan, thanks for the suggestions, I'll take a look and may contact them if they look big enough to accommodate us all, and see how it goes from there. ![]() Those of you attending the Icecream Run this weekend, have fun, and don't forget to give the Wacky Racers a firm nudge in this direction ![]() Again, thanks for everyone's support ![]() DK :apple:

forget stepping on toes, we need action. Scotland legs need organising i would prefer that at minimum the start and end points for the run at least be sorted. that way the hotels can be arranged. I agree weve got a while until we need to sort the actual run out, but we certainly need to move on the hotels ASAP. I will be out of the picture for a week or so on holiday in Scotland, perhaps i can sort out the Scottish legs whilst im up there joke!
