| The Darkness Returns - Night Run - 30th October 2004 - Notes Posted! THIS IS A 2004 EVENT - 2005 DETAILS HERE: Chat & ideas: http://www.mini2.com/forum/uk-ireland-discussion-event-planning/96500-darkerness-chat-banter-scare-mongering-accomodation-information.html Register etc: http://www.mini2.com/forum/uk-ireland-discussion-event-planning/96499-darkness-run-iii-beds-bucks-northants-area-hotel-details-up.html +++++++++++++++++++++ Introduction & Summary The sequal to the original Darkness Run is scheduled for Saturday night, October 30th 2004. The start of the run will be 5:30pm, Saturday October 30th 2004. We need to meet up at 5pm at the very latest! Starting point is the Shires Motel / Murco Station / Thai Villager Restaurant on the A422 between Stony Stratford (A5) and Buckingham. ------------------------------------------------------------- The run will be around 80 miles of a combination of windy, slow, fast, challenging and interesting roads. There will be a half way stop, but for nothing more than a quick "refresh", making sure everyone's OK, and setting off again. We will aim to finish the run at at 8:30pm in Stony Stratford on the North of Milton Keynes, just off the A5. Bit more information The run will be a similar format to the last Darkness Run, and maybe with a few nice Halloween twists. The run will include some challenging roads and could be a bit risky at night, at the end of October. There will be no opt out routes, and people will really have to look out for one another. Last years was great fun, and this one should be again! The location will once again be based around Milton Keynes (not as dull as that might sound to some), but cover some of Beds, Bucks, and Northants Link to last year's Darkness Run thread: http://www.mini2.com/forum/uk-ireland-discussion-event-planning/42821-confirmed-mini2-darkness-run-sat-22nd-november.html Anyway, those already interested, get your name down here, and for those "tempted", watch this space for more details! For those wanting to chat, find a place to stay Because this run starts around 5:30 the finish time could be quite late (around 8:30pm), if you are considering finding a place to stay in the area, or just want to discuss things more "generally" about the event, see here, also includes a small list of hotels/link to sites that might help: The Darkness Returns - Banter & Accomodation Discussion - General Scare Mongering.... List of brave souls.... Names on the list (inc provisionals):
Directions attached in word format, will also be handed out on the night if you don't get these printed in time, might be worth checking anyway to get the format etc. Last edited by Paul; Jul 26th, 2005 at 09:52 PM. |
