The way things are going I might be running a hotel in the Pyrenees by then.........some nice passes there too!

Seriuosly though. I am interested in Cols and castles.

Andy & Erich - I'm really pleased you both want to do it all again.

Rick, no problem - its early days. You'll just have to make sure half the group don't follow you off into the Eastern bloc

Stuart,

I spoke to Ian and Michelle at MINI 45 yesterday and they both would love to come on next years run. Currently their Internet is down so they haven't been able to get on but otherwise they'll be joining us too.

Thats excellent news Matt

So basically there is over 11 months to go, a vague route and no hotels. Yet we have 12 runners

I've pretty much decided to use a travel agent to take care of the hotels, unless anyone can put forward a convincing argument why I shouldn't.

The travel agent specialises in driving tours and we will be able to specify hotels that we want to use. For example, we absolutely HAVE to stay at the Hotel Prad again

In the meantime we need to decide on a maximum rate for single rooms and double rooms. Thoughts please?

With the current route it doesn't look like we will pass close to Lake Como this time

We'll just have to try and find another beach-side bar where the waitress wears a skimpy bikini
