Great news Kwottro

It would fantastic to have you along for a few days - particularly over the passes in France, Switzerland and Austria. I'll try and make sure there are plenty of new ones for you to tick of the list

are you suggesting something there? Certainly a bit of a monster trip from the UK?

Still Pyrenees bound?

Venice to Dubrovnik in 2005? - not unless we decide to go for 4 weeks

Seriously though, there are so many options I'm finding it hard to plot the best route. I've got some shiny new maps and I hope to get our path through the French and Swiss Alps done soon.

If anyone has some local knowledge of Austria I'm open to suggestions. Just remember that the further East we go, the further we have to drive home

I've had another great idea

How about ditching Austria altogether and catching the ferry from Nice to Corsica and then on to Sardinia. We can then have a good few days chilling out on the islands and driving the Rally routes

We can then get a different ferry from Corsica across to Italy and drive back up through Switzerland.

This is my thrid change of heart, but I think its a good one

Can i have some opinions please. (Cols and Corsica 2005)

Sounds amazing Wigley! Minerva is getting quite excited!

Umm, boring question - what might this do to the overall costs?

Cheers

Ian

Hi Ian, Its shouldn't make much difference. The ferry would probably be around 200E but I think we would easily save this much by reducing the total mileage of going East.

Yeah I still really want to go to Corsica and drive some rally stages. The first half of the route is planned - its just the return leg that needs more attention. I'm sure I'll get around to it soon

I'm afraid that I will DEFINITELY NOT be doing this next year as I cannot have that time off work and it looks like costs will too prevent me from going however I hope you have a fantastic time as we all did this year.

When I nod my head...... hit it!
