Hello everyone,

There has been a Thread up on here for a few weeks about weather there are any oxford mini clubs and it was posted by charlie croaker. He has had quite a few relpy's, so it is looking like a good idea.

I have taken the next and started this thread, basically this will be a club for local people to meet up and discuss their loved ones (and i don't mean wives/husband's ) and maybe partake in a run from time to time (as i am a member of SCNM i will be going on and organizing run's though that club).

So sign up here if you would like to join up and then we'll arrange a meet and take it from there

How about the one's of us going on the SCNM - Roman Roads and Ruins Run on sunday, meet up for a convoy on the way to the start point somewhere near south oxford?

Update...

I have had a quick look at the map and decided that the best place to meet is Sainsbury's on the Oxford By-pass which is at the roundabout connecting the A4142 and the A4074.

Then taking the A4074 to wallingford, down the A329 and finially turn off at the A340 which goes straight to the start


If anyone want's to meet up we could meet between 8.30 and 9.00 then have plenty of time to make the start time of 10.30, what does everyone think?

I can't promise being 100% there all the time but if I can I will join in the fun.....nor can I join in the convoy from Oxford on Sunday, it's the wrong way for me

ooh a local oxford convoy to the start of my SCNM run! if u want to make your run more interesting then, instead of going all the way to the A4 roundabout at theale from pangbourne then when u reach tidmarsh village turn left by the greyhound pub (carefull as theres speed cameras on that bend 30 limit) signposted sulham. there a brilliant set of twisties and a great hill climb section through sulham woods. you will then end up in tilehurst and keep turning right until u see signs for the A4. its a great little section of road. if you are unsure i can put up some maps. i always use this route when leaving Reading and heading oxford way.
