John Cooper Track Day - Goodwood, June 17th

John Cooper Works have decided to hold another Cooper Challenge trackday at Goodwood on the 17th of June.

As a club we have been invited to join them, along with some of the challenger drivers.

Basically for £175 you can have instruction by a qualified instructor, be taken round by Mike Cooper in one of the challenge cars, and then take your own car around Goodwood circuit for the rest of the day.

Please post here if you are interested, if there is enough interest I will provide more details.

Should be an excellent day out, who knows, some of you may get addicted (i.e. Eliseboy) and put your name down for next year's season!!

Grrr... I would so love to do that. A bit of instruction might actually make me an ok driver!!!

Unfortunately, I'm still struggling on student amounts (ie negative) of money and have got 4 exams on the following Thursday and Friday. Ouch.

Last Saturday, RdJ told me they were thinking about it and he was finding out more from various venues, but he said then that Goodwood was too expensive. Maybe Mike had a quiet word in his mate Lord March's shell-like when he was showing the S Works off to Juan-Pablo! And I guess an email to monsta was quicker to do than writing a bulletin to the 25 of us. Oh well.

Bulletin is on the way - I'll be there hoepfully - shaking myself and car down for Gurston on 22nd!!!

EB - I really reccommend you get down there if you are seious about next year - Once you've driven a club-sport you wont look back until the first grid next year

did discuss the possibility of a Works S and I could be in one of those for around Oct / Nov time if I want

I still say buy a cheap car for a few months, maybe even an old mini to keep the fun factor up

Sorry to seem like a pain - but I think it would be nice to keep the thread to the June 17th Track day - for all those who may want to come (I'm as guilty as you for going OT on this one) but I'm worried that the June 17th date will get lost - Perhaps monsta could move our 'EB's new car' posts to a new thread for us
