John Cooper Challenge at Castle Combe Sunday 26th June 2005 - now fully updated. As last year we will be attending this event and having a MINI2 display. Unlike last year however all the racing isn't on one day over the Bank holiday. The dates are Sat 25 and Sun 26th June. For this purpose please see the poll above. Just for interest the admission is £18 per adult for Sunday and £9 connsessions. Camping is £10 on the Saturday night. A 2 day ticket can be purchased for £22 if you fancy going both days. Tickets can be bought in advance here: http://www.castlecomberacingschool.co.uk/tickets/ Heres a link to last years thread - with towards the end all the pics of the racing etc and the display we put on. http://www.mini2.com/forum/uk-ireland-discussion-event-planning/53024-john-cooper-challenge-castle-combe-monday-may-31st-2004-a.html If you wish to sign up for the event please do so now . If you wish to see more information please see: John Cooper web site : http://www.johncooper.co.uk/JohnCoop...Event+Calender Castle Combe web site : http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/ Regards Paul UPDATE: I have confirmed with the venus that this event is still on - and it is - please can you reconfirm your attendance. I have also posted up some pics from last years event and the map of the entrance and parking areas we will use on the day. Meeting up? I suggest we do the same as last year : We are intending to meet up at the Compass Inn, Tormarton just off the A46. As you come off the M4 (J18) take the A46 Stroud and then first immeadiate right. The compass is clearly visible from all directions. So far most people want to meet early - 7.45AM for 8 depart to the track. It's only a few miles from the Compass so will be there in time for the start of Practice at 8.30. This way we are guarenteed to get parked together. 1 Minisoopercooper - Paul 2 intrepid 3 funky monkey 4 Fur_T_bun - and the crew 5 Gary JP 6 Steve M3 7 Jessica 8 Shaun 9 Tracy - Gary and tracy 10 TonyM - Tony and Marilyn 11 Jaffa racer 12 Yeoda - John, Emma and the kids 13 Geist - Martin - maybe 14 Griffer 15 Emu_P 16 Goonery and Pappi ![]() 17 Buttonit 18 Guy from Bath 19 minionemenace Last edited by minisoopercooper; Jun 25th, 2005 at 11:25 AM. |

| Shaun, How many are in your party? I have a two bedroomed cottage (one room is full of in use Computer and DV Equipment though). So basically one double bed in the main bedroom and a big comfy sofa in the lounge. House is an old farmhand cottage and comes with resident ghost (apparently sits in the kitchen reading the paper - if you believe in that sort of thing - I always tell him to help himself to a beer out of the fridge if he wants one, or come and watch a DVD. So far no beer has gone awol, and neither have the hairs stood up on the back of my neck while waching a movie). Its possible I can stay with the girlfriend (her parents are down that weekend, so not 100% sure there is room for me yet). My gaff is in the village of Gastard (near Corsham) about 5 miles from Castle Combe. All going to plan, you can use my place instead of roughing it. At least you have a roof over your head and the more civilised use of the bathroom/bath/shower/kettle/kitchen/livvie/sky etc. Also the local boozer is 30 seconds walk from my front gate - will attempt to put a photo of my humble abode in the profile thingy, keep your eyes peeled. Can firm arrangements up with you nearer the date if you are happy? |

| Any chance of a discounted ticket to offset the petrol costs of traveling all the way down from Malmesbury . I'd like to be there assuming my TomTom3 doesn't get me lost ![]() Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs |
