Go MINI May Bank Holiday French Weekender

Just checked the MINI2 Calendar and noticed that the Go MINI magazine trip to France on May Bank Holiday 28th to 30th (page 82 Feb issue) isn't mentioned.

Is there anyone going / thinking of going??. It all looks pretty good.

"There'll be no busy roads either - it'll be twisty country roads all the way" Like the sound of that....

France go mini french may trip

Yep, we booked straight away as thought it would be a great weekend too, as you said driving on the empty country roads and staying in nice hotel for a change rather than a tent what good value for money especially as on bank holiday weekend and was told only 20 rooms available so we grabbed ours last week and booked spoke to holiday firm yesterday and was told only 10 places left so whoever wants to go best be quick
bon voyage!!!!!

The reason it's not mentioned is people have to submit their own events. They obviously haven't.

Does look like it could be a very nice trip.

Booked ours!!

Thinking about staying over somewhere near Dover the night before. Pretty long drive from Worcestershire to make the 9.30 ferry. Any suggestions of nice places to stay??

Bring it on..

We thought it looked good too but we can't make that weekend, so we booked our own at Easter. Speedferries.com (£50 return), one night in Boulogne Ibis @cos the early ferries Good Friday are booked up (£50), 2 night in Best Western Compiegne (£90).
Total cost £190 ie £95 each for a three night break.
Unfortunately we do miss out on the cameraderie of like minded Mini nutters which is what will make the GoMini trip a lot of fun.

Have fun just a shame Peanut has to work Bank Hol Sunday

We just booked onto the trip today. We're driving down from Liverpool so have booked a hotel for the Friday night through Continental Car Tours. Apparantly its only 7 minutes from the ferry terminal (I think it's a Premier Lodge or similar). £75 b&b per room. If you phone the tour co, they can book it for you.

Anybody else going from the North West and fancy a convoy down on the Friday, let me know.

You will love this trip i'm sure. Wish we could have made it. Anyway hopefully we will see you on a Mini run soon and if we can sort out a run round the malverns some time this year, then hopefully we will see you on that.

Apple already has a big Euro trip lined up for this year, namely INMM2005, so it is unlikely she will make this run.

Besides, she likes to cross the Channel by Eurotunnel, and she can't get Early Bird Discount anymore.

May be next year

Concur

If you have to share your waking hours with a bunch of people for a few days, then you'd better pick the right ones or it will spoil the trip

Been there, done that, got the T-shirts...
