But hey were coming to The South downs Run

my tent is the Harry Potter model, with full luxury kitchen, lounge 3 bedrooms, wine cellar and a small casino. feel free to visit to see what you will be missing.

that would do me fine! I love camping. However, as Lady Peanut points out, it still lacks the luxury en-suite bathroom!

If we can get up there in good time we will come and see you all at the campsite and do a bit of an Ideal Home Exhibition Tour but of tents. The one with the fully working internet connected wireless network is the one that will probably impress me the most!

There is a caravan site at West Wittering called The Walnut Tree, I am sure I have seen tents there before and they used to have a decent shower block and loos there. West Wittering is not far at all from the main camp site and there is the best beach ever down there, so it might be worth checking out if anyone can't get into the main site or doesn't have Harry Potter tents it could be another option. There are loads of camping sites around there though.

Am v. excited about our first run!! Baby Burt will be close to bursting as he loves Minis

After years of trying, I now feel quietly confident that finally (albeit well into my mid life crisis), I have acquired a less than modest amount of charm. The reason for my boast...

I HAVE PERSUADED LADY PEANUT TO COME CAMPING!

Yes! We have cancelled the hotel and booked the camping and been to Halford's today and invested in one of their er... finest! Not a fight, not a word, just pure acquiesence from Peanut, what have I done to deserve this? But boy oh boy I feel good.

In short, Lee add us to the camping and knock us off the hotel please.

PS Can anyway tell me where i can get the Peanut a gas fired hairdryer or some such device? ( I'm on a roll and want to cover all bases.)

Please put me down for this years South Downs run and looks like we'll be camping too.

As last year I'll be coming along with the family, that is Julia the Mrs plus James and Alice the sproggles aged 2 & 4.

Not sure that we'll be able to get the camping gear in the MINI together with a family of 4 so we'll probably have to bring a support vehicle as well to carry the biggish family tent, sleeping bags and all the rest of the camping gear. Question is do we take Julia's sensible Renault Scenic as the support car or do I let Julia drive the MINI down and I'll come in my old yellow Triumph monster

Are people just camping on the Saturday night or is anyone camping on Friday night as well? I expect we'll probably camp over on the Friday night as well. Are the camp site going to put all the MINI2 bods on adjacent pitches, do I need to mention the fact that we are camping for the run when booking my pitch?

Oh and do you think the pub on the Saturday night will allow sprogs. I notice that the the skittles are in a separate area so hopefully they will?
