UPDATE!!!! - I am going to extend the list to take 25 cars, however people have to be understanding that we may struggle for parking at lunch. If people dont mind having to spread out a bit then this should be fine! You will need to make sure you have change on you for the parking ticket at lunch, I think it was 60p for an hour so not the end of the world

Hi all, as many of you may know that the Lakes Run is being put back to a later date... which is yet to be confirmed. I propose that we run the Dales Run as it was run last year due to a shortage of planning time.

I will do a recce this weekend on Sunday starting at 10am in the meeting place described for the actual run.

Im going to set a limit of 20 cars, as the car parks dont wouldnt hold a higher volume of cars. If on the recce I spot anywhere better to stop this may be increased. This is a last minute alternative, I hope that this will give people who have time booked off something to do in lieu.

Accomodation: Here are a number of links to suggested local accommodation for anyone looking at stopping over the night before. If we have a significant number of people coming the evening before, I can look at organising going for a meal somewhere, or meeting up for a few drinks

Time : 10am (meet) 1030 (depart)

Distance (approx): 90 miles

Notes: This run features some challenging, narrow roads, which require caution whilst driving such as keeping distance between other cars and preparing for what is around the next bend. The area (especially around the A65) is quite heavily policed so people are encouraged to stick within the speed limits. Without trying to sound like im spoiling the fun, please drive carefully, and I hope that all who take part have an enjoyable day.

A Lunch stop will take place in Settle, people can either bring some lunch with them, or there are a number of fish and chip shops in close proximity to the stop point.

At the end of the run, there can be a stop in Ilkley at the Crescent bar, so we can all have a chat
