Talking Northern Ireland Minis in the forest (Castlewellen MINI Show)

Minis In The Forest (Mini only show)

After the success of last year's show at Castlewellan Forest Park, Minis In Northern Ireland has decided to hold another Mini show again in 2005.

venue - Castlewellan Forest Park - NOW CONFIRMED
date - Saturday 28th May 2005 10am - 6pm

This years event will be as follows:
show and shine competition

inter-club / team games

things for the kiddies and or the young at heart - face painters, bouncy castle etc.

traders stands

autojumbles

raffle / ballot
This years nominated charlity will be the Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund with all proceeds going to this very worthy local cause.

Last years event was very well supported, but lets have a bigger turn out at this years event.


Entry fees are £5 (or £7 on the day) - forms will be available very soon

price includes free entry into Forest Park, entry into Show & Shine and finishers' award.

Classes for Show and Shine are as follows -

Class 1 (Minis 1959 - 1969)
Class 2 (Minis 1970 - 1979)
Class 3 (Minis 1980 - 1989)
Class 4 (Minis 1990 - end of production)
Class 5 (BMW MINIS)
Class 6 (Concours d'Elegance)

Please note that classes 1 to 5 are for NON TRAILERED Minis only. All Minis can be entered into Class 6.

Camping / Caravan facilities are available at the Park (please contact the Forest Park for more details)
Alternatively contact the Northern Ireland Tourist Board for hotels / B&Bs in the area.

I'm really looking foward to this, really enjoyed it last year, and it should be even better this year, now that a few MINI2ers might be going... Only got a couple of weekends to get the car in order though... the clock is ticking...

JP will you post how/when we can get the entry forms please?

Not sure if I'll be able to make this tbh... I'd love to go but I just get back from holidays a the Wednesday before and I'm moving house on the Friday ... Not really enought time between this and MtM to built up the brownie points required for a day out pass either

JP, maybe you can shed a little light on this but last year they had a run on the sunday I think. Any idea if that's going ahead this year too? Or wonder did they ditch it...

carolyn, what I have posted above was an e-mail I was sent from NIminiClub so as for a run etc I am as wise as you are (which isnt much ) , I am still waiting for them to get back to me reg entry forms etc

can't wait til the 28th. This will be my first mini outing! I've been in Scotland visiting my cousin since thursday, so i havn't had the chance to get the pics of my exhaust yet. I really miss drivin my car- i want to go home!!

Nope, definitely not wise here, JP!

HHmmm... Wonder what the crack is with the run. I didn't make it last year, only went for the static bit, but I vaguely remember, though have absolutely no notion where from, that they said they weren't going to do it this year. As I said though, I have really no idea where I would have heard that. Might be worth checking JP if you happen to be talking to any of the organisers again
