Talking autocross!

i just took the MINI to its (and my) first autocross! what a lot of fun! anyone else planning to do anything like this? i was the only MINI there and a lot of people were really enthusiastic about it (even though it's been smoking everyone in it's class!)

the people are very nice--simon, you may have met phil at the british car meeting--and they'll give you loads of tips for driving the course. plus you get to see some pretty groovy cars...

best of all, though, you get to see what a great performance car the MINI is!

Go to the "Racing MINIs" section of the forum, lots of chat about it there for awhile.

Hey Garfield!

I honked as I was driving through Mt. Airy yesterday on the way to Smokey Glen Farm. How come the roads in MD are so much smoother than those in PA?

As Ken S. stated in a previous post, we had 5 MINIs there (3 Coopers/2 S - 5 different colors) along with a lot of classic minis. Unfortunately all of our registration cards said "2002 BMW Cooper"

2002 BRG/W [BRidGet] traded in on 2005 Jet Black/White/White Cooper [?name?] 2005 #1 wrecked by SUV on 6/03/05 2005 Jet Black/White/White Cooper (2005 #2) [?name?] picked up on 6/24/05

I actually decided to autocross that morning instead of doing the show. Got to keep my points up!
The lot was VERY dirty/lots of gravel, so it was tough to stay in front of the S4's in my class.
