Wales Lake Bala Run - 14th August 2005 - Pics and Feedback time!!!

I know it is a little late in the day and not much notice for a run, but we thought we would start a seoerate thread for this run, instead of the useual place on the North Wales MINI2 thread.

Run Details
90% of the run will be in Snowdonia National Park and will be starting from Welshpool before heading over to Bala via Lake Vyrnwy.

Once we leave Welshpool we head to Lake Vyrnwy, where we will have a breif stop on the dam for pics and what not.

After leaving here we head around the shouth shore of the lake until we reach the Hinant Pass at the north end of the lake, which will take us up and over the mountains and back down into Bala.

We will have a stop in Bala for lunch, where their are loads of pubs and what not to choose from.

After lunch we follow the south shore of Lake Bala before once again climbing back up into the surrounding mountains where we will have another quick stop for more pics and what not, before descending back downinto Dinas Mawddwy.

We now head through Dolgellau and over to Barmouth Bay before heading up the coast to Harlech, where we will have our final catch up stop and possibly a quick ice cream!!

From Harlech we head past Llyn Trawsfynydd and Llyn Celyn back to Bala, where the run will finish.

Those people that made the Lakes & mountains run back in January will recognise a few roads, and I hope you don't mind us using them Mr Goonery, but they are just too good to miss out!!

The run takes in some of the very best roads and scenery in North Wales, and there is a general mix of little single track lanes in very rural areas to A & B roads, so hopefully a bit of everything for everyone.

Meeting Point and Time
This will be the main car park in Welshpool, which is found just off Mill Lane/Church Street, below is a map and a Multimap Link, we will be aiming at leaving here at 10:00.

There will also be a small convoy of us coming down from the chester area, if you coming down from the north then you are more then welcome to join us, we will be meeting at The Cheshire Cat Pub and will be leaving there at 08:30, just let me know if you plan on joining us here so we don't leave without you!!

Why Yeeeessssssssss!!!!
I am sure I can find another etched glass window sticker for a laaadddyyyy!!!

When things stop breaking & falling off the MINI, I will re-consider keeping it!!
At the moment something is going wrong every week, this weeks breakage is the alarm, which has delveloped the fault of going off at roughly 3am every morning, which has resulted in me having to clear out the garage keeping it locked up in there whilst leaving the car unlocked, just to stop the alarm going off and waking all the neighbours up.
God knows how many times it goes off during the day in the car park at work!!

I won't bore you with all the details, but I am now dealing personaly with the Corparate Customer Services Manager of the BMW Group UK trying to get things sorted.

So its Mk5 Golf GTI time come September/October!!!

Luke,

Can I suggest you revert your font colour back to white on the first post......using the std M2 format, it's virtually unreadable!

Robert

Well don't know whats happening there, I use MINI2 Blue, you see and it was fine on that, so I have now chnaged the text to white and you can't read it in MINI2 blue now!!!
Its supposed to change the text color itself to match!

Never mind, those MINI2 Blue users will have to flick back to black for now!!
