Had a fantastic time at the Texas All British Car Day in Round Rock, TX this past sunday. My MCS and I were very warmly received by the large number of Original Mini owners exhibiting their cars at the show. A few even insited that I park my car near all the original Minis! (so of course I did...) Great bunch of folks.

Had the pleasure of meeting a whole bunch of Original Mini owners/enthusiasts, including Bruce K. (of Dark Silver MCS vs. airborne pickup-wheel fame) and his Mini Traveller, which won first place in the Original Mini category! congrats, Bruce!

For a while, I was afraid my car would be the only new Mini present, but late in the day two others showed up: A red/white cooper (for sale, since the owner just took delivery of an MCS) and a very pretty DS/DS MCS. It was fun for my car to have some company closer to its age! ;-)

Even though there were around 100 cars at the show, my pictures concentrated on the Minis (surprise surprise)... I've posted some of the better ones to the gallery at the URL below. Enjoy!

(The only non-mini picture you will see is of the car that won best in show, a 1930's Morgan three wheeler with a really neat air-cooled twin cylinder motor reminiscent of radial airplane engines. VERY cool car.)
