Offline | Any NC, SC, GA, + folks want to motor today? Looking to make a mini trip today. Nothing like waiting till the last minute, isn't that one of the questions on the miniusa motoring test? Anyway, looking to get a group together today (Sunday)in the Asheville, NC area - Start out at Black Mountain and head south on Hwy 9 to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure and the "Bat Cave" There's a biker bar down on the lake that would be great for lunch. Take Hwy 64 into Hendersonville, those that want to leave then will be right on I-26, others stay on Hwy 64 for the best curves the south can dish out. Or maybe for our Atlanta friends -meet in Franklin and take hwy 64 up into Highland then into Hendersonville. Then out to Lake Lure and back to I-26. About a 4-hour trip. Could always just do the Parkway - but 45mph behind a Motorhome gets kinda old! ![]() |

Offline | Sunday Drive Smokey 4 - Sounds like a great drive. Unfortunately, I cannot do today - I am taking my son to the Panther game. I would love to go in the future though. Hope you have a good time - the weather should be beautiful for the drive. I still haven't hit 1,200 miles - just 700 to go. Spent Saturday doing the wax job, looks great. Hope to see you at Euro 2002. |

Offline | hey mininc We're planning on heading down for Saturday’s events, maybe even late Friday. It sounds like a blast. I'll post some shots from today’s run to wet your appetite for the mountain run scheduled during Euro 2002. Oh and good luck at the game! ![]() |

Offline | Welcome MINIjunky Good choice on your MINI. My MINI came with the stripes. I was not sure if I would like them, but I do. After a week they have grown on me. How soon before your MINI comes in? |

Offline | Excellent choice on your MCS. I ordered mine from Century Mini on 9/30/02, and was told to expect a delivery date of mid-November . What is the ETA on yours?Coop 2 (Speedy) - '07 DS/DS MCS |

Offline | Hey MINIjunky No problem MJ, you got extra stuff! I opted to go without the sport and cold wx packages, and the leather. I'm just happy to have someone else to run with, as others have asked what's your delivery date? ![]() |

Offline | If the wx is nice I plan to make another run this weekend Anyone want to join up. It'll have to be Sunday for me as the boy is coming back for fall break and I've got to put him to work, or it wouldn't feel like home! The run down Hwy 9 to lake lure was great, many, many twisties. Stopped in a Margaritagrille for some refreshment, many, many bikers - but no wounds that show on us so all in all it was a blast. Thinking that we could run hwy 9 out of Black mountain to (Chimney Rock)then hwy 64 to Hendersonville. Then take I-26 to the Blue Ridge Parkway to Pisgah Inn (Lunch?) Then into Waynesville to Franklin and up into Highlands. Any takers? and the route is totally flexible! ![]() |

| MINI2 Newbie | ETA... Well, Linda gave me roughly a 60-90 day timeline...So, if it's here for Christmas, it'll make a good enough present. ![]() BTW, I did my financing through PeopleFirst.com...got 5.24% for a 60 month note...I am loving it. They are the greatest. If I get around to selling my Legend, I might pay some principle and refinance for 36 months and get 4.75%...even better!!! |

Offline | P.S. Welcome to the board! Friends have been pointing out all the minis they see around town don't think any reside here only passing through. Took the car out last weekend to downtown, Pac Square and all, fun watching the people stop and look. Still end up watching it real close whenever kids are around, couldn't handle a dent / ding this soon. Good luck with the wait, didn't get bad for me until the car was complete and awaiting transport. I went with my long time Credit Union (Pentagon Fed) and got 4.9 for 60 months, been so long since I'd banked with anyother I don't know what the rates are now. ![]() |

Offline | 2nd that Smokey 4 I told Henk to give this site, roadfly and mconline to every MINI buyer. Henk said the Century open house will be Thursday 11/7. I hope to be there and meet some MINI owners. Just wondering where you learned to fly the helo, the Army, Navy or the Marines? My brother in law just retired from the Navy last year and is a helo pilot. |
