My current delivery of my indie blue is mid december and i am wondering if there is any southern california groups or clubs that get together?? i'd like to hang with the family...

From what dealer? I have my indy blue coming in mid dec also from Long Beach.
There are a bunch of groups in LA, most of them hang out on www.roadfly.org as well as hear.
I'm a member of the SoCal MINI Maniacs, we had a great event at the Santa Paula Airport and Long Beach sponsored a HUGE event last month. Not many events this month, and I don't know of any for Dec yet.
There is a rally from LA to Vegas (with a 2 day stay in Vegas) coming up in Jan.
I plan on puting a drive thru the Santa Monica Mountains together, Some sweet canyons out there.

My dealer is Universal City and the arrival port is Hunemme up by Oxnard. I am hoping to be in the drivers seat mid Dec. so if you want to keep me in the loop on stuff to do I would be grateful. Just counting the days now...

We would like to invite you to join us on December 7, 2002 for the San Diego Scenic Drive Run. Participants will meet at 7:45-8:00 A.M. in front of the Sears parking lot at La Jolla Village Drive, corner of Executive Way, San Diego. This is a good opportunity to see San Diego's scenic places, meet new friends, and have a fun day motoring.

The plan is to motor from the La Jolla coast to the ferry landing in Coronado. We will have lunch at Bay Beach Cafe with 10% discount for our group. Bay Beach Cafe provides the most beautiful view of San Diego Bay and has access to the beach, shops and boardwalk.

Thanks Brad for the infomation. I did stop by the LB MIMI the day of the rally beacuse it's right by my house but seeing all those MINIs and knowing my MINI was at Port Hueneme was just too much so I left pretty quickly. I'd love to go to Vegas. I'm going to try to make it to the SD event as well.

Actually, we are projecting a much larger turn out than a simple run to Vegas...

We're pushing it back to March... a lot to plan.
We're hoping to have the 1.8 mile RoadCourse at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, a lot full of (nearly 200) other brand showcars (working in conjunction with another website) maybe even the 1/4 mile strip. Plenty of activities and fun planned...beyond your average rally/meet. the roadcourse will be discounted to pre-registered MINI's for the first half of the day.

We will be working with a hotel/casino to bring you a special MINI rate, Parties after dark, plenty of competition, and a whole lot of fun.

We are also looking for more sponsors.
