Hey all you 2004 Dragon Runners,
up for some softball?

I am proposing we put together a little friendly competition for Saturday afternoon (May 1st) at the Fontana Village softball field. I noticed online that they have a pretty nice field, and thought it might be fun to play a game or two (maybe even a tournament?).

I thought we could meet at around 2:00 and play. I'll bring a bat and a 16" softball. If we use the 16" ball, we don't need gloves to play (on less thing to cram into the MINI for the weekend). This will be a very friendly game, maybe even a "have a beer on base" kind of thing.

Let me know if you are interested so I can start to gauge how many people we might be talking about.

Also, give some thought as to how we can split into teams (Cooper vs Cooper S owners, Yankees vs Southerners, etc).

Since I started the thread, I will officially kill it.

It would appear that people are not interested in any activity that fails to directly involve their Coopers.

I would propose MINI softball, but I am pretty certain that Fontana Village might complain if they saw an Indi Blue Cooper S attempting to steal second base at 50 mph.

MoonPie, thanks for the effort. I'll have to buy you and MINIMiller a beer.

Look forward to meeting you guys in a couple weeks.

(Look for the IB/W Cooper S with white wheels and Illinois plates at Fontana)

Sorry the response wasn't better. I just didn't see any way to schedule it in with all the drives that have been proposed for the weekend.
