Offline | ITG R56 JCW Filter !!!PROTOTYPE!!! Apologies for the time it has taken to create this filter. I had originally anticipated a few weeks (this was some time before Christmas). However, we now have the prototype that has been confirmed for production. Please note the prototype pictured is just that and in a sorry state. The production ones will be perfect. Incidentally this filter is completely different to that of the R53. This filter has moulded polyurethane ends so it is able to sit perfectly inside the housing. Prices will be confirmed by the end of the week. We anticipate having the first production batch within 2 weeks. If you are interested in the ITG filter for the R56 JCW please confirm. Regards Leo |

Offline | Price has now been confirmed. They will retail at £55 (Inc vat). There will not be a huge noise increase as the JCW airbox is completely sealed. Expect sharper throttle response and inproved pick-up through the gears. |

Offline | Only reason I ask is that the JCW kit I initially test drove sounded nicer than my own, and after posting on here it seems the noise I experience on my car is normal for the kit. The car I test drove had more of an induction growl and you could hear the stock blow off more. It could have been something silly like the airbox wasn't connected correctly or something, I never did get to the bottom of it. Just wondered if changing the filter could produce a similar result.... |

Offline | You cannot leave the JCW lid off the airbox as it is an integral part of the design and holds the filter. As for induction noise it will be definitely greater compared to that of the standard paper element. |

Offline | Have an R56 Cooper with the itg panel filter & throttle response, torque, fuel economy are all much improved - at +15% mpg it'll pay for itself in no time U cant lose & wont regret it, you'll just wish you'd got one sooner ;} |
